I have had my Hyundai for almost a year. The seat is still the most uncomfortable I have ever had. The vision is poor. I have tried many different seat positions and nothing seems to help. I do love the all wheel drive.

Reliable but.....

This vehicle is better than the other vehicles in this class except when compared to a Toyota. The Toyota is quieter inside and looks to be laid out better. When sitting in the seat on a Santa Fe.....the seat pushes against the center console causing noises. The Toyota does not do this. The transmission can shift a little abruptly but I had a 2016 also and that model did the same. The Sante Fe is cheaper than the Toyota model and in my opinion it shows in certain areas. This vehicle is by far a decent vehicle and is reliable. If you want a quieter vehicle...then go with the Toyota.

The good and the bad

I do like the many options (features) I have on my 2018 Santa Fe Sport, but (1.) it makes too much noise when the motor is running and (2.) the gas mileage is not good and (3.) it does not give a warning when driving too close to the vehicle in front. The 2019 Subaru that my son bought has that option which.can reduce the chance of an auto accident.

Nice SUV but gas mileage is horrible.

Nice looking SUV but gas mileage is half of what the sticker showed. Construction is poorly, you can hear win noise coming thru the windows, headlight condensation from the first month and poorly light up the road. Too much interior noise while driving. Overpriced vehicle, for the quality you of the SUV you get. I won’t buy it again and don’t recommend this SUV to anyone.

Too Many Reminders

Like the vehicle. However, all the silly pop ups and reminders on the screen are aggravating. Feels like a system created to create more revenue for Hyundai and cost more $$$ for me. So I am recommending that this system be eliminated. It is telling me I need service done 4 days after I brought my vehicle to the shop. I don't trust these systems as they are designed with the intent of generating more service revenue for the dealership. They are not implemented with the intention of improving the experience of the driver. Anyone who says anything different is misleading.

Definitely could be better

I like the vehicle but it could offer more room throughout. The seats could be sturdier and more bells and whistles could be offered on/with the vehicle to give it MORE. The basic cars and SUV's are now coming with plenty of bells and whistles upfront for the cost that we pay for a basic SUV with Hyundai with not even a quarter of the bells and whistles. The transmission could also be better. Its difficult to pull hills and the gas mileage could be 5-10 miles greater. It's the only car we have so I pit gas every 3 days. Far more than I would likw.

Great vehicle except for the electronics

This is my second Santa Fe. I love it, it handles well, gets food gas mileage and will hold a ton of cargo. I don’t like the radio and electronic features like for the air and heat. It’s complicated to use while driving and the radio has too much to it. It’s not user friendly at all. It seems like I can’t just turn on the radio and set some channels. When I plug my phone in everything seems to go haywire.

Performance of vehicle

It’s a busty beast which provides good value for the money. The cabin wind noise and the engine noise, of course, are the two areas which need lots of improvement. Also, the vehicle wobble a lot at high speeds—even moderate winds cause vehicle to deviate from the driving lane

Durability issues

Shifting issues has me wondering if I should switch back to American made. Vehicle stability system issues; driving mode button should be located by shifter; wider leg room for driver; dash controls obscured by steering wheel.

Owned Hyundai since 2003 and getting harder to continue

From Accent to Elantra to multiple Sonatas and now a Santa Fe I was hopeful for further excellence. Fewer real incentives but still a good value mainly for its warranty. Roomy and safe; give it a try.

Tire problems.

I am very displeased with the quality of the original tires that Hyundai chose for my 2018 Santa Fe. The tires were very noisy and were weather cracked in less than 20 months. They would not pass inspection for this reason. I had to purchase new tires and have waited months to get a reimbursement of only 300 dollars.

My personal experience

Overall the Santa Fe is nice but leg space is not great gas is not great too many issues cameras blew out paint chipping quickly and leather seats cracking... Overall the appearance of the car is nice but I will not buy a Santa Fe again.

Santa Fe

Great vehicle. I would make people aware that if buying certified used through a dealership to still have tires and probably a extensive Highway drive to asses how the vehicle drives. After buying a certified used SUV a few days after driving over 35 MPH it has a shaking that occurs. After evaluation from dealership they told me that the tires are worn on the inside due to improper alignment wear on vehicle. In order for shaking to go away I’m told I need now new tires on a certified used vehicle.

Good looking is about the only asset. Needs more options included.rwmote start, parking assist.elominate the 4 cyl. Turbo. Confusing overhead light switches. Ran battery down twice. Seating was not as comfortable as my 2007 santa fe

gas mileage could be better, better breaks would be nice had to change theses at 21,000 miles they were all rusted and falling apart cheap, would be nice to have all leather seats , instead of just the trim

Good car, but sluggish

I bought this car in January 2018 from dealership. In general, I am happy with the car except two main issues: (1) engine is not strong enough to driver in high-ways or in ramps, (2) no distance control, (3) the speed control works very poorly.

2018 Santa Fe Sport

My problem happens at least once a month when I accelerate and pulling into traffic it doesn’t go anywhere, I’m afraid of being killed as I’m going onto the highway! I’ve brought my SUV in and complained about the problem and they said it didn’t happen??? I set the millage to 0 to see how far they drove it and they only drove it a mile, so how does this problem get fixed??? It’s going in for service again for a recall tomorrow and for the same problem of it not going anywhere when I accelerate! I will reset the mileage to 0 again.. I want it in writing why I brought it in so if something happens I have proof.. This is my 3rd Hyundai my last two were Tucson’s and the 2012 about 65,000 miles on it the engine blew which they did replace but that’s why I bought the Santa Fe sport! And it’s my first car that has everything! I’m so disappointed all I want them to do is fix the problem not drive it s mile and say it’s nothing!!! I need someone to help me with this problem PLEASE
