great purchase this the second model purchase due, wanted AWD. I would like for their to be darker interior colors available to chose from. Enjoy the Bluetooth features. Would like to have speak to texting options while driving.

Review of 2018 Santa Fe

I purchased our 2018 Sant Fe on October 20, 2018 and have been most satisfied since. After chuckling many times on the number of SUVs on the road when we decided it was time to try daily life with just one car my wife talked me into trying one. It felt “big” at first but now am pleased with her request.

hAS ALL THE BELL AND WHISTLES BUT WHO KNOWS HOW TO BLOW THEM? NO OMNE SHOWS YOU!!

I bought a brand new 2018 Santa Fe Turbo sport vehicle I have to say it accelerates like a scalded ape. The fuel mileage is ok not great but again that depends a lot on how much you get on the turbo. I am getting about 24 miles to the gallon. Coming back from Santa Fe New Mexico I was averaging 33 miles to the gallon but the tail wind was 35 miles and hour. Dr8ving into the wind the mileage plummeted to about 21 miles to the gallon. With the heavy crosswind the noise from the windows and window seals was almost unbearable so it is very noisy driving in wind. For comfort I give it high marks. Mine has electric seats and electric steering wheel so you stay toasty and the starting the car from the inside of the house with your cell phone is awesome except for when you leave your keys in the car and it locks the doors on you.. That's not so much fun. The few things I have found that I do not like about this car is if someone in the car locks to doors getting out of the car you can not use the buttons to open the rear hatch door as it too will be locked. The fuel mileage is a bite in the butt compared to my Toyota hybrid which got excellent fuel mileage this one makes me cry when I go to the gas pumps. By the way the dealership offered me 1500 for my Toyota on trade in and I sold it my self on Craig's list for 4600 dollars so you might think about that when you go to turn your car in. You do not get fair market value at a dealership. The last thing and this one is a big one to me is that I received a notice from blue link that came to my computer from Hyundai and told me I needed a update fro my blue link but when I took it into the dealership no one knew how to do that. Now if the dealership does not know how to update their own vehicles that is kind of scary My buying experience was nice and a Guy named Daniel helped me. I think he was from Hungry. Super nice guy and no sales pressure. This was the best part of the buying experience not being pressured to buy a bunch if additional stuff.. Well to be honest this car had everything in it so there was nothing else to sell me I suppose. I think the service department needs to work on their knowledge base and they should be able to answer simple questions like how do I update my blue link. But all and all a nice bunch of folks.

Hyundai Santa Fe Sporte Ultimate 2.0

I like the styling, inside and out. Dimensionally it is excellent, with substantial and comfortable cabin room, large cargo area and useful cargo bins under the rear deck. Features include front and rear heated seats (the fronts having cooling too!), reclining rear seat backs that are especially welcome by passengers on long distance rides and by the extraordinarily tall persons at all times. The paoramic moon roof is impressive. Handling is excellent, augmented by small turning radius. The cabin and chassis feel are solid, fostering driver confidence. I found no other SUV this size with so many features important to those who love to drive and are discriminating in taste, and very reasonably priced.

2018 Sante Fe Sport

I originally wanted a V6 but decided to get the Sport with a four cylinder. The power is decent however I find the four cylinder to be a bit noise and not as smooth as my 2007 Sante Fe V6. I also find this inside to be noisy compared to my 2007. The body style and interior are attractive. I would rather the driver dash cluster of tachometer and speed gauges be flush rather than angered. I do have the all glass roof which I think may be part of the cabin noise. Blind spot with the small back side windows. The navigation screen area is not very responsive at times and have to keep selecting the option and does not always recognize my IPhone. I would also prefer that the vehicle be a bit higher clearance from the ground for snow clearance.

My Hyundai Santa Fe

I truly love the Santa Fe. The car is very responsive and truly well built. It maneuvers well for an SUV and it’s very roomy and super quiet and comfortable to drive. The only things that I wished were better are mileage and increased horsepower. Although my Sandra Fe is a turbo model, the pick up and acceleration is not that fast.

2018 SANTA FE SPORT

I like the car, but not sure it is as sturdy as my previously owned 2005 Santa Fe. The body style is cool and similar to other current suvs, but definitely less visibility than the 2005. Still getting used to the 2.4 engine and 6 speed transmission. I loved the 3.5 engine and transmission in the 2005. I do like the drive mode feature and the current MPG indicator. Now less than 500 miles, so final satisfaction to be determined.

Nice but driveability ?

My vehicle visit was written on the review for the dealer and is posted above. It concerns the accelerator not responding at times when leaving a stop or turning. Very close calls but to date have not been hit. No TSB's by Hyundai issued. No problem found at the dealer service visit. Check " GOOGLE for this problem on the Santa Fe to find I am far from being the only one with problem.

We brought this vehicle primarily for the new safety features as well as the size of the vehicle. We have already seen one or more of the safety features pay off. The vehicle is cute as a bug, comfy, and fuel efficient. I love my little “Sport”

A work in progress

The Santa Fe has better leg room. But, after having owned a 2016 Hyundai Sonata Sport, I have a few points of concern in the driver controls mounted on the dash, instead of by the shift selector, like on the Sonata. The driving mode button, and the others are obscured by the steering wheel and turn lever. I have to bob and weave my head around the steering wheel to see them! Should've left it on the console. A real pain, if you ask me!

First Time Hyundai Owner

As a first time Hyundai owner and only having a Sante Fe Sport for 7 weeks I have noticed some feature differences from other makes. Some may be things I need to adjust to and others I don't care for. I do not care for the flashing lights when using the remote start. It only draws attention to the vehicle. I also do not care for the lack of positions in the drivers seat. The bottom portion of the seat does not tilt as much as I would like. The seats are also more narrow than I am accustomed to. I also don't like the fact that I cannot lock other doors when drivers door is open. This is a serious security issue in today's society. I also have not owned a 4 cylinder in many years. I was assured that with the new engine designs that I wouldn't notice much difference from a 6 cylinder. I can definitely notice the decreased power. I hope not to find other things that would deter me from purchasing another Hyundai in the future. For the money and the warranty this vehicle is a good value.

Surprisingly Awesome

My first Hyundai purchase was a good experience. Questions I had about options on the car were handled quickly after the sale and the car handles better than I expected. The only things keeping this review from 5 stars is the lack of a self-dimming rearview mirror (never noticed it during the daytime test drive) and the inconsistent success with the remote start app.

Awesome car with great features

Great vehicle! Love all the features. So many I'm still learning them. I love the color which is black. My salesman was very helpful. He made sure i understood all the different features. Hopefully i will learn all of them.

I had a Tuscon before. That car set up higher and better mileage. The ride in the Santa Fe is great! This car has many features. Handling is good. Goes through snow easily. Set up of features easily done. Overall a very good vehicle. I do not get the gas mileage the car is rated.

First review as a new owner.

This is my first new foreign vehicle in over 30 years. I have always bought American vehicles. So far I can only give it four stars because of the problems I have had. First problem was the car would not turn off. Problem finally fixed after two times to dealer. Second problem was rattle under seat. Problem corrected. The other problem is a design problem and which needs to be corrected on future cars. There is a reflection at the bottom of the windshield from the dash and also is carried out to the outside mirrors. This only occurs early in the morning when the sun is very low or the evening when the sun is setting. The car is a great value for the money. Many great features for the price like shades on rear side windows, electronic seats that cool or heat both front and back, sun roof, built in GPS, Bluetooth, and Bluelink, I have only owned this vehicle for four month and my first long trip will be next this month so we will see how it performs.

2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport

This vehicle drives well, has good suspension and responds well. The transmission changes smoothly and is not loud. The vehicle is well insulated and keeps out highway noise. The controls and dashboard are well equipped and user friendly. The navigation option is not an on-board navigation system, you actually need to download an app to your phone and connect it to the car via USB. It takes some getting used to but it works.

Santa Fe Sport

The fit and finish, interior and exterior of the Santa Fe Sport is above average. We did not opt for the turbo package including the turbo charged engine, the upgraded sound system and larger wheels for $10,000 more than the standard package. If there had been more of a "menu" with the engine and sound system, but not the excessive sun/moon roof, GPS that needs annual review, etc. it would have been much more desirable. We are pleased mostly with the SUV, although we now think it is under-powered around town and the sound system is not great.

We love our new car

We just love the Santa fe. It is very roomy. We took everything that a family of 3 would need for tent camping and still had plenty of room for everything & everybody. The ride is very smooth & we just love the appearance. Our favorite thing about it is the Android Auto feature.
