Santa Fe sport Ultimate

My Santa Fe is great! I have one complaint - The back up light is insufficient for me to see. Other than that It is Great riding vehicle. The Turbo is effective to get going quickly, when needed. The infotainment system is super.

This is my version of the Mercedes for a valued price, with all the bells and whistles- I love the comfort and style without paying and arm and leg, just wish it was better regarding gas milliage and a little more technology...

Santa Fe Sport Turbo Lag

While I like the acceleration on the freeways, the turbo lag at slow speed is disappointing. More so, when I make a turn coasting and then press on the accelerator. Most noticeable are coasting around a city corner, the lag is like a dead spot/symptom of the old carburetor float sticking.

fun to drive and decent fuel mileage.

I have enjoyed the car and its size for doing most things. The Seat Heat and Power Outlets never worked from the day I bought it. (I didn't need seat heat in August in SC) Once in for the first oil change, the dealer said they would keep me informed of when the parts arrived to repair the seat heaters and power outlets. There hasn't been a call yet in a week. I have called and stopped by once with out them doing any follow up.

Good and comfortable

Nice ride, Comfortable. Seems larger on the inside. Warm when it needs to be cool when you need it to be, Love the carp10lay, able to play my music with ease.. I don't know much else to say becasue the price was not right for me it was too high.

Review

The back up camera system is EXTREMELY bad at night in dark areas. So bad that it is basically USELESS. In good lighting there is no problem with the picture, the problem is either with the placement or the amount of light.

2018 Sante Fe Sport Ultimate

I did not have any intentions on buying a new vehicle. I was looking for just my wife because she liked the Tucson. So long story short is I saw the Sante Fe and it caught my eye. My last car was black and I wanted to go to a different color if I was going to buy. We ended up leasing a 2018 Tucson and 2018 Sante Fe. The one I chose was mineral gray w/ 19 inch black rims and it made the SUV look so different from all the other colors. I am truly pleased with the purchase. I actually enjoy getting in, starting it up and driving. I truly like the vehicle and will probably get another when the lease is up. Keep making improvements as the brand keeps getting better with time...

2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport Ultimate

My 2018 Santa Fe Sport Ultimate does very many things right. Styling, reliability, interior comfort are among those things. It does need some work on its ride noise and comfort. Tires were so loud that I replaced them at 9K miles with Continental TruContact with Eco Plus Technology. That made a huge difference in the ride and noise quotient. MPGs are not attractive and may well detract potential purchasers. They MUST improve dramatically or buyers may continue to look more closely at the competition. Right now, Hyundai price still allows potential buyers to consider them in their purchase matrix. Air conditioning does not cool as well as competing brands.

Great Vehicle so far.

We love the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe. It's got really nice looks and plenty of standard features. My only complaint is that the seat cushions could be a little more padded. They are hard and stiff and not great on long trips. I also would like to see the parking assist alert as a stand alone item. You shouldn't have to buy top of the line models to get that one extremely useful feature. Overall though still a great car.

Constructive Criticism

Ultimate (at a minimum) could use a better sound system, heated mirrors, less busy dashboard and controls, better gas mileage ( your six cylinder would probably do better). Lose the fake wood grain dash panels. Your company would do better to build brand image with fewer but better defined models. Consider combining Kia and Hyundai dealerships to make them stronger. Market the Ultimate v. high end foreign competitors (X3, Q5, F-Pace, Stevio, GLC 300, RDX): the SF Sport features would compete favorably and scream ‘value’ at its price point.

Excellent SUV and comparable to Lexus.

A lot of The styling cues and interior features are borrowed from Lexus and higher-end models. This is a very reliable car with good gas mileage you do here more engine noise and road noise because there's less insulation I guess but it's a small price to pay for all the features that you get and you only hear that when the radio is off.

In general a good car with some small problem but they resolve them to complete satisfaction.

Good and comfortable car. Spend a lot of gas. Tires are not in the level and luxury of the car and price. After the lease end the price to buy it is to high after paying so much in the lease. Definetly lease is a bad deal because the few mileage you can use and the extra mileage cost a fortune and no worth the car cost.in general I will take the same car but never lease.

Luxury with Affordable Comfort

What's not to love, the only thing that I'm a little bothered by is my full tech/full trim package (2018 should be wireless) I purchased the full tech unaware that I would still need to plug my phone into the USB port in order to enjoy the full benefits of Android Audio with Google....

IT RIDES VERY SMOOTH. FRIENDS THAT HAVE RIDDEN IN IT ENJOYED THE SMOOTHNESS OF THE RIDE. I LIKE THE SHADE PROTECTORS IN THE BACK SEAT. IT HAS A GREAT PICK-UP WHEN PULLING OFF. I LIKE THE BACK AUTOMATIC DOOR LIFT .

Comfortable for seniors

As a senior, with some mobility issues, my first requirement was a vehicle that I could get into without climbing and out of with falling out. This car is low enough to the ground, so I took it for a test drive. I got the very basic no frills version so I can't speak of the bells and whistles most cars have. I does handle very well and seems to have plenty get up and go. Rides smooth and takes the bumps well. Seats are comfortable but could be cushier. It's not the best seats for long road trips. Four adults can travel comfortably. I think and extra in the back seat would be crowded. The windshield is large and at an angle.I see a lot of reflection in the glass but you do have a good view of the roadway, both front and peripherally. I do like the larger side mirrors with the blind spot mirror (only on the driver's side?).It does have a back up camera, but for some reason it doesn't beep. Blind spots are minimal.The cargo area is nice and roomy and comes with cargo net and cover. All in all, it's a nice car for the money and it comes with a terrific warranty.

Great vehicle

I love my SantaFe. It’s comfortable, drives great and gets great gas mileage. HOWEVER I do have one REALLY BIG COMPLAINT and that is the back up camera.- during the day this camera is clear- most of the time EXCEPT DURING Rain BUT At NIGHT IT IS TOTALLY USELESS. In well lit areas it can be used BUT NOT IN DARK AREAS.

Just said this twice. Suspension off road too soft. When you hit a pot hole on a main road, sounds and feels like the car bangs down on the frame. Other than that, handles great under normal conditions.
