Smooth ride, but severely annoying features!
Love the comfort of the seats, the roominess and the smooth handling of the vehicle! Also the full view sunroof is pretty cool, though I sure wish it opened up all the way...
Things I HATE...
1. Driver Assist Camera: You should absolutely be able to choose as the driver whether you want driver assist camera watching you the whole time. It's absolutely absurd that this isn't a feature you can fully turn off! Also, why in the hell would it disable your automatic breaking when triggered when, let's say you did fall asleep at the wheel, well that's actually the one time you'd need the car to help brake to help keep you safe! Complete and total engineering oversight!!
2. Fingerprint Sensor: It's frankly an utter disappointment. It only reads my fingerprint half the time. I even had the dealership reset it, and it’s still unreliable.
3. Door Cup Holders: Who thought angled cup holders in the doors were a good idea? You can barely fit anything in them without spilling. Even a standard 20‑oz bottle doesn’t fit properly.
4. Gas Door: Why in the heck doesn't it lock? Hyundai is hyper‑focused on safety features, yet somehow skipped this basic one.
5. Window Controls: I love that the front windows are a one touch up and down, but why not the back windows?? Makes no sense! Both my RAV4 and my Subaru had one touch windows all the way around.
6. Turn Signal Sound: Whoever tuned the blinker sound must be deaf, because it's the most annoying turn signal sound I've ever heard in my life! Way too loud and piercing to the inner ear!
7. Air Recirculation: I appreciate that you're trying to keep fresh air in the vehicle and prevent CO2 from building up in the car, but when I tell the vehicle that I want the vents to stay on inner-circulated air I expect it to stay that way. Don't override me! There's usually a good reason behind this preference such as I'm behind a semi truck that's spewing out toxic exhaust which is even worse to breathe than a little bit of CO2 buildup.
8. Adaptive Cruise Distance: Going back to safety for a moment, let's talk about the automatic distance setting between vehicles. Even at the highest distance setting, the car follows way too closely! A “four‑car” setting should not translate to barely 2–2.5 seconds of space.
9. Passenger Lumbar Support: Why does the driver get lumbar support but not the passenger? Comfort matters for everyone, especially on long trips.
10. Floor Mats: A premium or limited‑trim Hyundai should absolutely come with rubber WeatherTech‑style mats. I’ve never owned a car that didn’t include them.
Overall, nice try but HUGE fail!
