Love my Hyundai Tucson

This vehicle has a solid, smooth ride. The only complaints I have are: 1. the gas tank is too small, requiring more frequent stops to fill up; 2. I understand the reasons for the safety equipment built into the vehicle, however, the sudden stop when I'm backing out of my driveway when another care is approaching regardless in which direction it is driving. The abrupt stop is very alarming to the point where I think I just hit something. I am 84 years old and I wonder how this is affecting my blood pressure.

Love the car but has had electical issues

Bought the car in January and took it to Florida for a vacation. On the way the heads up display and speedometer went out and all the hazard lights lit up. The SUV drives drives great and is very comfortable.

Engine Replacement

Vehicle was great, but at 4600 miles my engine went out, leaving me stranded at a gas station for over two hours waiting on a tow truck to take me to the nearest Hyundai dealership. It has been there for a week and haven’t been given a time from for when it will be repaired. It has to have a new engine because of a manufacturer defect. Currently having to rent a vehicle. Traded in my car with 140k miles to avoid this type of issue.

I love this vehicle

Of all the vehicles I have had (mini cooper, jeep, Lexus 350, Santa Fe, ford 150, bmw 7series) this is my favorite so far. I love that they made the back area bigger the same size as the old Santa Fe, the safety features are amazing, the driver very good (I would love it in a 6 cylinder hybrid) it’s a beautiful design. The interior is super comfortable and beautifully done. All around amazing drive! If I had one thing that I would totally fix if I could when the music or the radio is not playing there is a lot of outside noise like road noise you can hear it, but this is the only car that I’ve had except for the lexus that has not, when very cold out fogged up when the heat is on so it must be ok. I literally tell this car how much I love it.

Safety features cause accidents

The so called safety features have caused me one accident already and almost another one with a SEMI TRUCK! The automatic braking mechanism which engages when the car detects you are too close to the car in front of you is an absolute death trap. It brought my vehicle to a complete stop in the middle of the freeway causing one accident (i got rear ended) and the other one where I was able to somehow get out of the way of a semi truck before it hit me from behind. In both incidents, I was completely aware of the space in front of me and had my foot on the brake already and it still engaged violently. You can't turn it off and if you can it's only per drive, not permanently. I'm going to take the car back just for this

Annoying

Too many safety precautions. Stops when im backing out of a store lot, telling me to use two hands, etc. Won't unlock when I am near it. First time I have ever been aggravated with a car. Sunroof is only part that .makes me happy and the light interior

Great Features, But Serious Reliability & Service Issues”

I purchased my 2025 Tucson Limited new and initially loved the design, features, and technology. However, my experience has been overshadowed by significant reliability and service issues. The vehicle has experienced four separate failure-to-start incidents, requiring it to be towed twice. It has been out of service for over 50 days this year alone and has been sitting at the dealership since March 2, 2026 without resolution. The most concerning part is that the issue cannot be replicated or diagnosed, leaving no clear fix. A vehicle that intermittently fails to start is not reliable for daily use. In addition, communication from the dealership has been extremely poor, with no proactive updates despite extended time in service. While the Tucson offers excellent features, comfort, and styling, reliability and service experience are critical — and this experience has significantly impacted my confidence in the vehicle.

Overall I enjoy driving the Tucson. The seats are not the most comfortable on long drives but manageable. The Apple Car play is sporadic but with effort you can get it back on.
