LOVE this vehicle

Great all-around vehicle.

I purchased my 2025 Tucson in February of 2025. Since then I've put 15k miles on it and done two long trips. The car doesn't have one category that it excels in but does above average IMO in all categories. I can load up the trunk with my soccer equipment. Put the rear seats down and put my fishing pole. I can load in small furniture in the back. It also drives well in the snow as well which is important. Average MPG in the warmer months is 32-35 and in the winter 24-27 so it varies. The only thing i dislike about the vehicle is the collision detector is sensitive. A lot of things obstruct it's view causing it do be temporarily unavailable.

Practical, Comfortable, but Not Perfect

I’ll start with the downsides first. One thing that makes me a little nervous is the gear shift. It doesn’t always feel like you have to press the button on the side to move it—you can kind of just push it into gear. It hasn’t caused any real issues, but it does make me uneasy knowing how easily it could shift. Another issue is with the safety sensors. I keep features like collision prevention and lane assist on, and while they work well overall, the system can be overly sensitive. There have been times when the car abruptly stops or jerks even when I’m clearly slowing down safely or backing out with plenty of space. It can feel a bit sudden and unsettling. One of my biggest dislikes is that the SE model doesn’t come with built-in navigation. You have to rely on your phone being connected through Bluetooth. If your Bluetooth isn’t working properly, you’re basically stuck without maps, which can be frustrating. A smaller thing I wish it had is lighting on the mirrors, but I understand that’s more of a higher trim feature. Now for the positives. I really do love this car. It’s very practical, easy to drive, and smooth when it comes to accelerating and stopping. The space is great—especially the legroom in the back—and it feels comfortable without being oversized. For the price, I think it’s a great deal. The screen gives it a more modern, almost luxury feel, and I like having more features to interact with. I also really like being able to start the car remotely using Blue Link—that’s been super convenient. I don’t mind the manual seats as much as I thought I would. In some ways, they feel simpler and like there’s less that could go wrong over time. Overall, this has been a solid, reliable SUV for me. It has a few quirks, but nothing that takes away from how much I enjoy driving it.
