2012 Nissan Altima: Comfortable and Reliable

My 2012 Nissan Altima is very comfortable: Leg room is generous, both front and rear, and the seats are nicely shaped. The interior is reasonably quiet and visibility is good in all directions. The car has proved to be very reliable, although I'm sure that complying with the maintenance schedule has helped. The trunk is large and well shaped. Gas mileage is reasonable. All told, the 2012 Nissan Altima is a comfortable, reliable, family-friendly package.

Nissan’s bread and butter - The Altima.

This car has treated us very well. 2012 Altima. We plan on making this our son’s first car in less than two yrs. People just need to know buying a car will be the most expensive purchase in their lifetime - second to a house. Gotta take care of the things that take care of you.

Extremly Reliable

I love this vehicle, it has served us well. Mileage is at 40 MPG and that is driving at a speed of 60 MPH. In town we get 26 to 30 depending on how traffic is. I can't say enough good things about this vehicle.

I love my Nissan Altima

After having my car for almost a year I have grown to love it. The grill of the car looks kind of weird but that's probably one of the only things I dislike about the car. I have not had any mechanical problems thus far. There have been a few recalls on the car which have been taken care of promptly. I love the way the car rides as I do ALOT of driving and it is very good on gas. I do wish the stereo system was better quality but that is a minor thing. Overall I love the car, good gas mileage, smooth ride and very comfortable.

Car is so so after 100000 miles

I have a 2012 Nissan Altima. Since I bought it I have been brining it for service to Hudson Nissan in North Charleston South Carolina. During my last few visits at Hudson Nissan for service they have not at all done right by me. With that being said I have found a new shop to go to. Thanks Greg

Faulty seat heating caught passenger seat on fire

Enjoyed driving the car until the seat heating on the passenger seat out of the blue caught on fire (we are a family of non-smokers ). Nissan America did nothing to fix the problem and did not offer to check the driver side seat for any possible electrical problems. Customer service was very poor and I now am unable to safely use seat heating on drivers side and have a big burn hole in passenger seat, which also had singed my sweater when it caught on fire. Would not buy a Nissan in the future since I'm now aware of several other instances where seat heating caught the whole car on fire.

Fantastic Car!

I absolutely love my 2012 Altima. From the cushy leather seats to the easily opened sunroof. The ride is one of great comfort & the way the 3.5 kicks in when I have to add some speed is smooth, quick & reliable, no obvious jumps or stalls. It's good on gas & has lots of cool & useful features like navigation, rear camera, Bluetooth, etc.

Great vehicle

We bought this vehicle new and have been very satisfied with its performance to date. No major problems so far. It rides smooth and has great pick up power and is overall a great vehicle. Love my Nissan Altima.

Fuel efficient. Comfortable ride. Easy to park. Plenty of rear seat leg room. Large trunk space.

2007 to 2012 Nissan Altima best bodystyle ever

I live in LA (Louisiana for you illiterate people that don't know the difference between L.A. and LA). I previously bought a brand new Altima (2.5 SL) in 2008. I kept the car up until 2014 summer before selling it. I've always loved the bodystyle and NEVER had 1 problem with the engine, ride, transmission, windows, etc. Every vehicle I owned since I was 16, something went wrong; whether it was an ongoing leak on a Jeep to a fuel pump going on on a Lincoln LS. Some people have had bad experiences with these Altimas. Please do not let their reviews influence your decision!! Everyone drives differently and thus, don't take care of a car (diligently) as they should. This week, I purchased a used 2012 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL in Kentucky that had 3,300 miles!!! What an awesome deal after hiring a pre-inspection from Auto Tech in Lexington (KY) that charged a great rate to thoroughly inspect the car. Whether you're a small bodied person, are tall (6' 2") or even a very hefty person, you will be comfortable in this car. I personally love a mid-to-large sedan that's roomy and fun to drive. Don't just take my word, take a test drive. The 4 cylinder CVT drives like a v8 when you require pick-up, switching lanes, etc. You'll be happy you made your choice. Keep in mind, if the car you seek is several hours away or even out of state, hire a qualified, very professional bodyshop to perform a detailed pre-inspection to save yourself a lot of time. You'll save lots of time and frustration AND MONEY!!!
