Service Manager Resolved
This is a follow-up to my original 2-star review. There was no issue when I checked my vehicle in for maintenance with Service Advisor James Powers. He earned five stars. As far as the other issues, the Service Manager Justin reached out to me and offered consideration in order to make up for my bad experience. I gave him honest feedback and will give Wesley Chapel Hyundai another try when my vehicle is due again for periodic maintenance.

Going Down Hill Fast
The service dept used to be the best in the area. Since Lithia took over it has been substandard performance. If you want to wait five plus weeks for an appointment, expect so so customer service, and like oily finger prints on the exterior and interior of your vehicle, this is your place.

Follow up from service issues
I wanted to say that I am very happy that Hyundai of Wesley Chapel to take my concerns into consideration and address the issues with my car and finally found a resolution of the problem with my car. I am very happy that they were able to seek out assistance with the manufacture and repair the transmission issue that I had and even resolve the headlight issue I am now having. They provided a car for me to drive so I am able to go to work and take my son to and from all his soccer games especially in the busiest time of his season. I want to say thank you to AJ especially because he always takes great care of me and my car!!! I even might purchase the Kona once she gets her license because that car is perfect for anyone who is a beginner driver!!!

Poor communication
I have always trusted Hyundai of Wesley Chapel with my car since getting my second car from them instead of the Hillsborough dealership because they always tell me the truth about my car but I feel now they are pushing me to try to buy new car when I just got a new engine and there is less than 90k miles on the car . James, my WC Hyundai service tech, was professional & understanding. When my vehicle needed a new master cylinder he made arrangements to get me a rental car & contacted a carrier to take me to the car rental site. He also informed me that he would contact once the repair was complete. After keeping me posted on a delay in getting the part shipped he apologized & promised to keep me posted. He did this 3 more times, each time apologizing for the delay, before letting me know the part arrived & the car would be ready in a couple of days. Then in a day he informed me the car was ready for pickup. When I arrived for pickup James again apologized for the lengthy delay (5 wks), escorted me to my car & assured me I could contact him with any problems or questions. So, WC Hyundai (James) get 5 stars while Hyundai Motors gets 0 stars for customer service. 5 weeks to forward a part for a repair is inexcusable. Thanks to James!

Lag Time For Repair
My vehicle was diagnosed with a defective master cyclinder for the brake system. Even though I was provided with rental/loaner the comparable selection was well below a Sonata. Choice of Chevy Spark or Nissan Versa. The vehicle was left at the dealer on 9/13 with completion not until 10/21. The service rep kept updating completion via texts & noting a shipping backlog for the delays. Hard to believe a single part takes 5 weeks for delivery.

James, was great and and he indeed kept me in the loop as far as everything that was needed and going on with my vehicle and even helping me with the loaner car, when there were a few bumps he called enterprise himself to assure me me that i would have a loaner car! The concern was not direct towards James at all! it was direct for the part that wasn't fix when i came in last Jan which cause the engine to fail! So he made sure that everything was taken care of and i truly apologize, if this might had any negative impact on James! Because again he was great!!!

We should have been more clear with our communication and this probably would have been avoided. There was some disconnect from the technician to the advisor then to you and we need to improve and make sure those disconnects don't happen again. We have voiced this issue with the staff and hope this doesn't happen again but we still do apologize that it happened to you in the first place. You have been coming to our service department for a long time and we do value you as a customer. I unfortunately cannot undo whats been done but I can offer a $100 store credit good towards any future services with no expiration date to show we do want you to return and we do value you as a customer for all these years. The dealership is close to my home.
I guess you don't get car wash unless you asked. It's been an issue, since I started going to this dealership.
