Signed up online for service. Cost of service was never shown or discussed. Dropped it off for oil change, tire rotation, recalls fixed. Picked it up with a $320 bill and IMO, completely unessesary 15k mile service.

I apologize your last visit did not go well and you felt like we took advantage of you.  We do not perform any work on a vehicle without prior authorization from the customer.  We also provide the customer with documentation of what is being performed.  I will review this with my staff and to see if this was not done and if so why.

Lee thank you for providing us with feedback from your last visit.  I apologize there was a miscommunication at your visit.  I spoke with your advisor as to why we rotated the tires and he mentioned that you had requested and provided a coupon for our "Summer Special".  That special is an Oil change, tire rotation and fuel system cleaner which is why we rotated the tires.
Because of the misunderstanding I will be happy to apply the amount you spent on the tire rotation towards your next service if you decide to return.

Pay attention to the details
The service counter guys are great, as was my salesperson, but whomever is performing the work isn't doing everything they include in the service. They never make sure that my tires are all properly inflated. I know because, after having some suspicion, I have begun letting about 5 psi out of one of my tires right before dropping it off. When I get the car back, the reduced psi hasn't changed, yet they include tire pressure check/fill on the invoice.

Andrew thank you for the feedback.  I will make sure to review your comments with all the technicians in the shop.  We want to make sure we are performing every service we state we are doing whether there is a cost or the service is free.  It is unacceptable to conduct business any other way.  I apologize we did not properly adjust the tire pressure.

Honestly the person we worked with (Jeff) in your service department is extremely rude and unhelpful. This is not the first time we have experienced this from him. I would not use your service once our car is off warranty.

Thank you for the feedback.  Unfortunately at times a check engine light can take longer than an hour to diagnose.  I apologize if this was not properly communicated with you.  
Looking at the notes from your inspection, your tires were noted at 3/32 and 4/32 of an inch in the front.  Any time tires are at or below 4/32 of an inch we recommend tires because it can cause traction issues on wet roads.  When a vehicle comes in we for service we perform a full vehicle inspection.  At that point we want to inform you of everything we found.  At no time are we trying to pressure anybody into a repair.  I apologize if that is how it felt.  If you would like to discuss this issue further I would be happy to talk with you.

Not very satisfied for this service appointment. I was charged for both an oil change and tire rotation but the rotation was not performed. I didn't notice until I retuned home. I returned to the dealership where I got a response that the techinan didn't know why he didn't do it.

Possible Case of trumping up business
Hyundai Accent (2012)

As far as I know, all the services provided were done according to book. However, the "book" provided by Hyundai didn't recommend many of the serivices at only 18K miles.

I was somewhat unhappy that they wanted to do lots of expensive service that the owner's manual doesn't suggest at 15K miles. So, I'm more than a little skeptical and am apt to believe that they just look for ways to increase their business bottom line, whether some of the maintenance provided was needed or not. I have to question why Hyundai doesn't specifically recommend all of these services at 15K miles "if" they are really needed.

You can't blame me for being skeptical and dealership repair shops have a bad reputation in this regard. I have not had a similar experience (for the most part) with our Toyota. They follow the maintenance protocol outlined in the owner's books and I've not regretted it in the 10 year's we've owned that vehicle.

Lastly, I wAS offered 10% off of a minimum $100 service if it's completed within a month of this most recent service. Really, how likely is it that I will need that service and be able to make use of the discount so soon after this visit? If I do, it REALLY doesn't speak well for the quality of Hyundai products or the work of this shop.

Sorry if this review seems overly negative but I think people should know. Everyone at the shop treated me nice but I'm not so sure about fair or honestly.

My wife’s Elantra will be 10 years old this year. Bringing it in for the 90,000 mile service, they discovered front breaks were end of life, a bearing was damaged, and there was a recall required. I also opted to have diagnostics performed for the tire pressure sensors which cost was applied towards service to fix malfunctioning TPS system, all of which is expected for a 10 year old car. Getting this right meant I needed to keep the service loaner overnight which is appreciated. The first bonus came when the bearing was covered by the 10 year warranty with a month to spare. The second bonus was that the car handles like it’s new! I have no issues putting some money into car maintenance when the quality of customer service and repair has that kind of value and delivers that much piece of mind. Plus our annual of operate over the 10 year life of the car remains exceptional!
