Solid truck
I bought my 2011 F150 in 2019. I’m pretty lucky to have found this one, especially right before covid made used car prices go stratospheric. Mine was a clean low mileage truck without all the nonsense features that I simply didn’t want. It runs well, and is very comfortable and easy to drive. It has done everything I have needed it to without fail. I have learned over the years that paying close attention to any maintenance issues as they occur will determine how long the vehicle will last. If you ignore what the machine needs, it invariably will let you down at the worst possible time. My truck has needed repairs in my time of ownership, but each respective repair has been related to how it was treated prior to my purchase of it. Unfortunately, sometimes this happens, you get left holding the bag when those before you didn’t care. I find that it is easier to have repaired that which would cost more to replace. A new truck with a cheaper overall build quality in comparison to a 13 year old truck that I have had experience with, makes better sense to me. Plastic oil pans for engines and transmissions will never outlast steel ones.
