Why I like my elantra

When I drive this car responsibly and at a responsible speed my mpg bar goes to the 50 mpg. I don't think people believe me when I tell them this. The car has been very dependable without giving me any problems. I just got new tires and I don't feel the bumps in the road like I did with the tires supplied by the manufacturer. As a high mileage per gallon and a dependable 'get me around ' car I'm very satisfied with my Elantra.

Love my car!

My Elantra GT is so much fun to drive. I have no problem passing those big trucks on the highway. I can park anywhere. She fits in easy. Mine is loaded and love my leather seats with the heat. The surprising part is the comfort. I will do an 8 hour road trip and my back feels great after the drive. Love this car. The only thing I would add is little more power.

Elantra GT

So far this has been a great economy vehicle with many add on features that give it a unique value. So far it’s reliable and fun to drive too. The interior cabin is spacious for its overall size. The exterior design is such that it does not disappear on the road as a small car so other drivers will see you.

Overall good handling but performance and fuel economy could be better .

Good features for the price, but fuel performance should be much better . Inserting seat belts is a struggle to find seat belt locks. Power outlet in the trunk is a very good feature . Engine is somewhat noisy when idling .

Its a great vehicle

The hyundai elantra gt is a great vehicle to own. Its great on gas, has great handling, and most importantly its a nice ride. It is comfortable. Very few down side and nothing major. As in placement of cup holders and little odds and ends. Otherwise a very great vehicle.

I purchased my 2014 Elantra GT new and still love it. Great ride with nice amenities, more than I use. Fun responsive drive and flexible for hauling people or cargo. Better than average gas mileage and love the sporty look of the rear hatch.

Pricey vehicle with lots of road noice

ears pop and ache when back windows are down road noise is severe, glitches with the eye glass compartment latch and gas tank latch, nice heated seats wish, I would have investigated further before buying new Elantra GT for what is now available on the 2019 GT's Cooled Ventilated Seats!.

I've learned to love it..

I was a little disappointed knowing that other Elantras of the same year had the newer technology with the rear view camera etc. but I've managed to be fine without it. The car was perfect for me and my two children when they were YOUNGER. After renting a new Elantra I realized that I really like having the blind spot mirror on my left side mirror which the newer model didn't have. When I purchased the car the salesman kept speaking about how "big" the trunk was. I completely disagree. I think the trunk is very small compared to an older Sanata I had and especially compared to the newer Elantras. I currently have a stroller in there and that lives little room for much else. Now having a 3rd child I definitely think it's too small but, for anyone with 1 or 2 kids or just themselves with no kids, I think it's a really great car and may become my oldest daughters starter car.

Car is good. Paint faded off:clear coat bad

The car is cute. Have not had any trouble until today when battery died. Paint has been an issue. Clear coat faded off and then paint followed. Have found this on all the Kias I owned and now my Hyundai. Need better paint or stronger clear coat.

I love my little car

It’s economical and kind of resilient. I’ve hit some major potholes but it’s hung in there. Easy to drive, comfortable seating. And it still feels like fun. Negatives would be that you do kind of feel every bump and that traction control can make it a little over reactive.

Love the car.

I love the car but I am on my fourth set of tires in 77,000 miles. The low profile tires don’t allow for small holes in the road. I have had bubbles in my tires at least six times. The dealer replaced them the first time after 7,000 miles the rest of the time it has been on me.

So far it has been a very dependable vehicle. The ride is very good and handles great on the interstate and around town. The body style has a very sporty look. The hatch back has a lot of room for carry items with easy in and out.

Reasonably priced, dependable vehicle. surprisingly quick responsive acceleration. Good gas mileage. Not impressed with the factory Hankook tires that were on it when bought new. Not real good in snow/slippery conditions. Overall good value.

Love the car, 6 speed manual. It’s a fast car but unfortunately people think I’m a female ? but it’s whatever ? other than that I love it, just wish I had a roof rack for my bike, the car overall is a pretty decent car.

2014 GT elantra

bought this model new. Have not had much trouble, with this car, Leather wears too easily, the sound system is standard. The heated seats are nice wish I had gotten cooled seats, has no sunroof, latches break easily, and window motor malfunctions

car itself is great, vehicle infomatics system very buggy

Love my Elantra, save for one thing: The car stereo/informatics system is buggy. Particularly, the Bluetooth functionality is a total crapshoot. Sometimes the vehicle connects automatically to my phone, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the display shows me what's going on, other times it shows incorrect information, or just freezes. The car clock is off by several minutes and often changes time zones on its own. Just very buggy software. Too bad, because otherwise the car is great.
