Still going strong
My Elantra has over 307K miles, and I plan to keep it for as long as I can. It has manual transmission, which is what I prefer, and what keeps me from considering a new car, since most of them are automatic. I have had minimum expense over 18 years to keep it on the road: Brakes replaced once, 1 Alternator, 1 clutch, 2 radiators. I do follow the manufacturer's schedule for timing belt replacement, and schedule regular oil changes. Yes, there are a few parking lot dings and one dented fender, but that's just cosmetic. I hope to have this car for at least several more years.
