Perfect Solution
Within minutes of my first meeting with the Elantra via a car rental, I knew I had found the perfect car for my first purchase of an automobile.
My only three requirements were that it had great leg and head room, it got great gas mileage, and had a decent back seat. The Elantra hit all those marks and more. Besides having fantastic lines that in my book gave it the extra edge over other comparable cars on the market, its apparent the design of the body was not only aesthetic but practical. The trunk was huge for a small car, the back seat had great head room, the styling of the console was elegant and user friendly and the interior was well thought out and efficient. My model has seat warmers which work perfectly and the sound system is superb. I've had my car for almost 6 years and couldn't be happier. I wanted a car that had some design to it and was technically decent.
Not being an aggressive driver, I find the power is more than enough for my needs. I like to feel the road when I drive and I get just enough of that to feel powerful. I get good gas mileage.
The only negative thing I can say is that I wish a spare tire was standard. For all that I love about the design, my car does seem particularly prone to pothole flats.
