Great But Has Issues

At $30k, it's OK. I bought this new, and some things are fantastic. This has brembo breaks, a 348 horsepower naturally aspirated engine. The windows have issues when you close the door, sometimes it stabs the weather stripping, accelerating wear and tear. I hate the driver wheel, the leather cracks and peels off often. Even after having it replaced once by the warranty. If I had done it all over again, I probably would have bought a Model 3 Tesla instead, but.. they didn't exist when I bought this vehicle.

Love the Car

Love the Car. Bad Dealership. We were looking for an inexpensive alternative for an everyday driver, tired of not enjoying the drive because of great expense of repairing our other Vehicles. This was best of both Worlds. This is my female Partners Everyday Car...I seem to have kidnapped it, It’s a great Car.

Great vehicle my wife loves her Genesis. She chose vehicle over Chevy and Ford and others brands. We like your service department how they treat us and the vehicle. We only go to get normal service since have not experienced any problems

great performance, handling, and road feel at any speed. disappointed that I have had so many window/door problems. I purchased the last year that the vehicle was made, and I am happy to have purchased a coupe with a manual transmission.

Sweet sportscar.

I wanted a car with the power to accelerate quickly on the insanely congested roads in the NOVA area. My fiancee found this 2016 Genesis Coupe at Brown's Manassas Hyundai, a dealership he has happily dealt with for years. Being a female car fanatic, the horsepower of the 3.8L 6-cylinder engine sold me. Not to mention that the car is very sexy. She is well engineered, comfortable, and always fun to drive. Aggressive and great in the turns, the low profile, wide footprint make this little beast stable and excessively capable on the straightaways. The market was not flooded with this coupe, so they are very unusual and not seen everywhere, like the tired, mass-produced competition. I adore this car, and enjoy every day with her. She's hot!!!

Great Sports Car - My First Sports Car

This is my 5th Hyundai vehicle - 4 were sedans and this is my first sports car. At first I thought it would be too small but, the overall seating areas and trunk space is very spacious! I have had this car now 19 months and am still enjoying the ride!!! Love the look, love the features and the styling is hard to beat. Thank you Hyundai!!!

Dream car

This caris a dream to drive. It responds effortlessly in city driving , as well as on country roads. Stops smoothly, accelerates at just a touch. Honestly, I call it my happy place. W hen I get in my beautiful little coupe, I am so happy. My only question is, why did they stop making this Genesis coupe? It is a wonderful car in every aspect. Very comfortable for two. Drives great, huge trunk, great gas mileage, easy to maintain!

2016 Genesis Coupe Review

The car is great. I have had no mechanical problems. It handles well, and has a solid feel on the highway. I am sorry that they discontinuing the coupe concept. The only thing that I would have liked to see, is a better manual transmission. I had a 2004 Sonata with a 5 speed, and shifting into 3rd gear was not always smooth. With the Genesis, 3rd gear is not a smooth shift most of the time. When you put so much horsepower in an engine, every model should automatically come with a limited slip differential. I would have liked to see a little less horsepower (250 - 275) and better mileage. But that is the way the car is, and I am very happy with it

2016 Genesis Coupe

I bought this car from Tuttle Click Hyundai in Irvine Ca. with 7,700 miles on it. I had taken my Elantra in for an oil change and saw this on the front line. I figured this had fresh oil in it and decided to buy it. This trim had the 3.8 engine mated to an 8 speed automatic. I can tell you the car has been flawless since I have owned it. Very good power, very good driving characteristics with a very solid feel. This will do just fine until Genesis releases the new Coupe in the next couple years.

One of the best cars I’ve owned!

I had a 2010 Genesis Coupe, and liked it so much I wanted a 2017 and then was disappointed to find out that Genesis had tabled an updated coupe due to changing customer preferences, so I had Great Lakes Hyundai find me a new 2016 Genesis Coupe. Rear wheel drive, plenty of power, great looks and great fun to drive - I would know - 43 years of driving, hundreds of thousands of miles, and many, many cars and trucks.

In the cause of my genesis coupe the car seems to out for repairs constantly with the car only having 22000 miles Also company does not want to cover repairs under powertrain warranty Can not recommed any one not buy a hyundai genesis coupe. I will not be buying another hyundai product.

HYUNDAI GENESIS ULTIMATE THE BEST

I love everything about my HGU. It is everything I wanted after researching sports cars for a year before buying. It handles perfect, great gas mileage, looks beautiful, comfortable, has all amenities except for back up camera which for me is no biggie. I reccomend trying out. My decision was narrowed to HGU and Camaro and in the end the HGU won. The warranty is a winner with 10yr/100,000.

Most fun I've ever had driving

I love my Genesis Coupe. It's peppy and handles great. The design is sleek and the exhaust has a nice little growl. Being able to go from automatic to "manual" transmission is fun. Interior is roomy up front, but the backseat is good for carrying your purse and umbrella. Forget about passengers for anything more than a short jaunt. I'd seen a few people complaining about the traction in snow/rain, being that it's rear wheel drive. That made me a little leery about the purchase, but I'd had RWD cars before, so I didn't let it put me off. I'm glad I didn't. I'm convinced those people just didn't know how to handle a RWD vehicle. I live in Ohio and as long as I use winter tires when the snow flies (and we don't get a foot of snow) and don't drive like an idiot, I don't have any problems driving in inclement weather. So, don't let the RWD aspect scare you. I was really sad to hear that 2016 was the last year that Hyundai was making the Genesis Coupe. That's the reason I finally pushed the buy button, even though I'd been wanting one for years. My hope is that they'll rethink that decision in the future. Until then, I'll just enjoy my 2016.

The car design is pretty awesome, but engine locked up shortly after buying.

So far the car is pretty awesome in the way it was designed. The engine locked up though with 25k on the chassis for the second time in it's history and the synchronizer for 5th gear was no good, causing it to pop out more often than not. Hyundai has been kind enough to replace both items free of charge. I am taking the time to do exactly as the manual says to seat the rings well and will be meticulous regarding maintenance and will use mobile one full synthetic 10w-30 when it's going to be above 2 degrees as stated in the manual and 5w-30 during winter. I'll be happy to give my feedback down the road. The car and how it was designed is pretty slick feeling and appearance wise. I hope it will last me an easy 250k miles plus with proper care and the maintenance being done on time. :)

Hyundai Genesis Ultimate coupe

The coupe is fantastic, it handles like a dream. The acceleration is great, the sound system in wonderful. I never had a car that handled as good as the genesis coupe does.. I only drive it in the spring, summer and fall when the snow is gone along with the salt. This car will never see snow or salt.

The warranty is up, great car for someone else

I have a base coupe with the 3.8 Direct Injected V6 coupled to a 8 speed automatic transmission. This car has an abundance of enough power for normal driving on the road and even some enthusiastic driving elsewhere. It's handling is really good. I was looking at the 2016 Camaro when I purchased/Leased this car. It seemed to me that the Camaro had relied on too many tech gadgets to sell their car with and forgot to focus on the car itself. The Genesis Coupe, that I have, the manufacture focused on the car - and it shows. There is more power from the direct injected V6 than the Camaro. ( I did not test drive the Mustang or Challenger) It's handling is above the average car. It is responsive when you need it to be, yet it gives you a good ride going down the road. The loudness of the exhaust is only noticeable upon acceleration, as it should be. You do not need a back up camera for the Genesis, unlike the Camaro's engineered blind spots There are 2 areas that I have found to be of concern, Paint Quality and cost of ownership. There was a lot of "orange peel" in the finish. It also water spots up very quickly. The replacement parts for this vehicle are expensive. Maybe not by today's standards - but by mine. I have had the gearshift knob, dash bezel and the driver's door panel replaced. The a/c had a slight issue when it was new - dealer fixed it. Was this car worth the $29,100 sticker price - NO. Was this car a better deal than its competitors - YES (They were actually more expensive) The Genesis Coupe has been a reliable fun car to drive for the 3 years in February Is it a car worth having without a bumper to bumper warranty, in my opinion NO

I treated myself to a sports car when I retired. Love the Genesis coupe. Rides good for a sports car. Handles great. The power is so impressive. Best value for the money. Have it serviced at Roseville Hyundai in Roseville, CA, Great Dealership.
