2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS

I purchased this vehicle new 9 years ago, almost to the day, and I have to say it has been an outstanding car. Currently, it has approximately 75,000 miles and still runs and drives like new. There have been a number of recalls, but the company has maintained excellent communication and stood by their product, taking great care of me, as a customer, and any issues that have come up.

Reliable, Sporty, Comfortable to drive.

My 2011 Hyundai Sonata has been a pretty reliable. While I've had a handful of recalls since owning the car new, most of the repairs and associated expenses have been tied to maintenance items like oil changes, brakes and tires. In the last year the A/C has started acting up also, as in, it seems to work intermittently. I've had it checked by technicians and the indication is the compressor is on its way out, since everything else checked out fine. So I'm not happy about that being of issue at 90K miles and 8 years time. I have the "Limited" model, and early on (after about 2 years) there were some interior fit and finish things that I would have expected to be of better quality. (i.e. lettering/symbols, finish wearing and rubbing off of the controls and paint coming off of the steering wheel insets.) This definitely should have been of better quality. Overall, I really like the car!

Great car but issues

The car is very spacious, interior colors are not the best. The motor has a bit of problems such as oil leaks and burns oil easily. The other issue about this car is that there is way to many recalls to keep up with a busy schedule with work. Seats are very comfy and spacious also great for bigger people. The trunk is big and fits most of the big stuff that I put in there.

I initially liked the car when i first test drove it, however after driving it for the last 3 years i find that im not comfortable in the vehicle. i think if i could afford to i would purchase an SUV.

Too many recalls

Every since I bought this vehicle for my daughter it has stayed more in the shop for recalls than on the road.....engine recall, seat belt , ECU recall, the back tail lights burn out quite frequently

Great minimum-maintenance car

Bought in 2011 and didn't have any major issues with the car at all. 50k miles on the ODO. Hybrid battery still works, electronics work (except the UBS port but no big deal). We don't drive it much so spending like $40 / month on gas. Super happy with it.

other than AC problems early on, and gas sender and dash gas gauge, the car has been very good. Now at 133000 miles, it still runs very well.

AC problem early on that needed new AC unit. Past the warranty time about 3000 miles. Gas sender and gas gauge module went bad at SAME time, 2000 miles past 60000 mile warranty. Hyundai would NOT do anything about standing behind that repair. I feel they should have . I will not buy another Hyundai because of that one thing. Poor customer service by the manufacturer.

To Many Recalls

Not a good vehicles to buy not even to trust on nothing . Services on the dealer at orlando only Greg is the best one in there . los miles almost finish payments and not happy with my vehicle not even trust driving . scared that anything can happen or a new recall more can come . horrible . not even company giving at least new vehicle do to many Recalls many complains many issues .

RUNS VERY WELL , SO FOR NO COMPLAINTS, RUNS WELL QUITE ENGINE, ALL LIGHT GAUGES OK , COULD LITTLE BRIGHTER DURING NIGHT DRIVING, SOME GAUGES CAN BE MADE DIGITAL, FOR THE PRICE OF THE CAR NICE SPEAKERS SHOULD HAVE BEEN ADDED.

Classy Car

I bought my 2011 Sonata new from dealership. People continue to tell me what a nice car it is. Not only does it look classy but it is very reliable and low cost to drive and maintain. I put a lot of miles on it but it continues to perform well and still looks great. The dealership provides excellent service. Well done Hyundai!

Dependable vehicle

My 2010 Sonata has 58000 miles on it this vehicle is very dependable never have any problems had one recall and the dealership was fast and professional in fixing the recall I would definitely buy another Sonata the price is reasonable and the gas mileage is incredible

Best family car I have owned. Very dependable ,great gas mileage, currently have 75k miles never had any issues, best service after the sale at Phil Long Hyundai Chapel Hills.. Good styling and has all the bells and whistles I need. Very happy and satisfied with my new car purchase..

Sonata ‘11

Realizing this model is somewhat poorly rated, I do have over 100,000 miles. There was a major problem at about 95,000 miles and the motor was replaced with no inconvenience or cost to me. The warranty works. I have had a couple of fender benders, apparently plastic clips hold some of the panels together and if the clips break, it requires replacement of the entire panel. I have been told a couple of times “this is just how they are” in relationship to a few minor issues. I see these related to the car itself and not the service.

I love my sonata it's 8 yrs young every where I go people thinks it's brand new when i tell them it's a 2011 they are amazed !

I've bought my sonata brand new I love this car , I love the color, the performance of the Sonata is awesome ,the handling of the sonata is extremely unique , It's fast & reliable this is a very fascinating car !! I LOVE MY SONATA

Love the Sonata

I love the handling and comfort of my Sonata. I have the Sport model and it has a quick response and great styling. A coworker that rode with me was so impressed that they traded in their SUV and bought the same Sonata. We have had no problems at all, except for the various recalls that require servicing.

Love it!!

The warranty just can be better.., but because I’m a little person.., dash is a bit to high.., but very stylish..& eye opener.., have gotten lots of compliments on my “Phantom Black” Sondra.., & of course I’m not the only one in love with it....., look at how many are on the streets now!

2011 Hyundai Sonata

I came to the dealership looking for a Ford Taurus as Ford/Hyundai are together. Found nothing for the Taurus, but was directed to the Hyundai lot where I purchased my first Sonata. I loved it. Not long after I was hit and the car was totaled. I then purchased another 2011 Sonata with lower milage and love that one too. The service I receive along with the kind service personnel has been wonderful. I totally recommend Hyundai.
