Good features for the cost. Lots of road noise.

I own two 2023 Tucsons. The only difference is one is AWD and the other is FWD. I enjoy the comfort and size, the ability to connect to Apple CarPlay and the overall look of the vehicle. The AWD has excessive road noise and does not get good MPG. Both windshields seem to crack easily. Both had trim pieces on the back windows come loose while driving. Even with an Appointment for an oil change, it takes over an hour. Would like to see the gear shift be smaller or a knob as it gets in the way of accessing the phone charging station in the console. Need to add keyless entry pad on driver's door.

Demo Car Troublemaker

I have a 2023 Tuson model. I have had to have several parts replaced. I brought the car off of the lot after being used as a demo, as the 1st time owner and it has a mildew smell in the ventilation system that is very apparent when turning on the air conditioning. I took it in and all they did was deodorize the ventilation system and the smell came right back. The acceleration is very slow. My backup light on the top of the back window stopped working and the entire back window had to be replaced, A couple of other things stopped working that had to be replaced due to malfunctioning. My husband owns a Santa Fe and had leased other Hyundai models previously and swore by the Hyundai brand. He never had a problem with his cars, but me on the other hand was sold a lemon to make lemonade,

Everything I needed

When searching for an SUV Hyundai was not on my list. I frequently drove past the dealership, but never considered stopping. But one day I gave it a shot and was blown away with the customer service and even more by ratings the Tucson had I test drove for about 20 minutes and instantly fell in love! It’s been theee years now and I’m still just as happy!

Review

Had issues with exterior silver parts by the window. Luckily it was covered under warranty. Driver seat started ripping last year in 2025 so only took 2 years for that to happen. Other than those two things it’s been a great car.

My seats started cracking and this car is not even 3 years old.

The car has ran ok and done pretty good other than my seats cracking really bad. With it only being less than 3 years old this should not be happening.

Decent SUV smelly AC

My AC had a terrible mildew/ mold smell that we fought with for about a year before we gave up and traded in the vehicle for a Chevrolet. Not long after purchasing the vehicle the Hyundai dealer/repair shop took the Tucson dashboard apart and cleaned the AC really well but within a few months the smell was back. We tried every aftermarket product we could find to clean the AC and nothing worked long term. I'm allergic to mold so this was a huge issue for me. When we traded in the vehicle we told the new dealer about the issue and they were still ok with taking it as a trade in. So hopefully they were able to fix the issue for the next owner.

Love my Tucson with better safety features and improved engine.

This Hyundai was a pleasure to drive from Florida back to New Jersey round trip last year. Two nights each way. Three days of 400 plus miles each leg. Comfort!!
