New to Hyundai

I really do love the Tucson so far. Can’t beat the value and warranty. However, there are a few things that I do not like. I 100% miss having seat setting memory. Storage is more limited than I am used to in Honda vehicles and I really do not like that I cannot lock the doors via the inside of the door when I am about to exit. With a push start car, my keys stay in my purse 90% of the time and sometimes juggling my purse to be at the right spot for the car to pick up the sensor for me to lock once the door is closed (touching the door handle), seems to be more challenging than I’d like. I am used to being able to lock the door via the inside of the door just before I shut it. I realize this is disabled to alleviate accidental locking the car with keys inside mishaps, but that’s easily managed by programming the car to not lock of the key fob is detected inside the vehicle. Yes these are personal preferences but they are inconvenient to me and would be easy fixes. I am also very confused on why a fan runs after I’ve only driven a SHORT distance and it’s not hot outside. This is concerning to me as it makes me wonder if this is why I’ve heard of a few Hyundai owners’ vehicle engines blew. Are all the electronics in the vehicle causing the need for the fan to run for a pretty significant time after a short drive (30 mins)? It hasn’t been the case every time but enough that it makes me wonder if I’m going to have to actually use the warranty for a blown engine at some point.

Excellent

I love everything about the car, from the color to the interior, it’s a 4wheel drive which I love the most. I love the gas consumption, it’s economical, I love the leg space.

features are overwhelming do not know how anything works;.

I spent $40,000 on this Vehicle; don’t know how the features work; never received a follow up phone call or email, or letter from Elgin Hyundai even thanking me for the sale. I will commend Sycamore Hyundai as even after the sale they reached out to me and said if I needed anything do not hesitate to contact them. That is more than I received from the dealer I bought the car from. Not even a thank you letter. All other dealerships we bought cars from showed respect to their costumers. Check to see how many Hyundai’s we have purchased. This might be our last one after this experience.

Like the car but…. -Don’t like the shifting of gears in the engine when stepping on the gas - not enough cup holders -console is too deep, had to buy a tray to put in it.

New car smell

Unfortunately had to give up my 2022 sante fe since it had electrical issues or inbound still be driving it. This is my second time giving the Tuscon a try and purchasing. Its nice and easy to maneuver. Love the sunroof and leather seats. Wish it had a sport mode like my sante fe. No free oil changes with this new car puslrchase so def researching for a future trade to switch to another brand after this 4th hyandai purchase.

Not so happy

Navigation screen to dark, at night useless. Side mirrors should be able to close without getting out of car. Button for heat, steering wheel, etc all to pale not easy to see. Seat belt attachment at inside of drivers seat to far down hard to reach I'm short but husband 6' driver side needs more leg room (we do not have the third row seating)

My new Tuscon

I had a Santa Fe but the new one was too boxy and too big for me so I chose a Tuscon. So far I like the car but had trouble getting used to the new features. So much to figure out how to use.
