After All These Years, Still A Boomer's Best Friend

My 1998 Toyota Sienna has had 265,000 miles of fun, hard-work, and a lot of bruises. With luck and care, it will survive another couple of years with a smile. The Sienna XL model was fancy, powerful and a great work-horse when I bought it. Now its duck tape, prayers and a good mechanic. It carries two kayaks side by side in the 8ft long cargo area (without the seats) with only a foot or two hanging out! It towed a 6x10 trailer for weekend sales at festivals. It drove through tall grassy fields when I was in real estate sales. It still carries bags of dirt, plants, and planks of wood from the hardware store. My car is worth ten times the price of any parts value. After all these years, my Toyota Mini Van is still a Boomer's best friend. Jeff Lowman:)

1998 Toyota Sienna

My 1998 Toyota Sienna is a solid and reliable vehicle that is comfortable to drive both in city and on highway. The car has only 146,000 miles on it. That translates to less than 7,000 miles a year. If American motor companies built this kind of reliability I would continue to buy them. But money is hard to come by these days, and the Sienna is economical and built..."Ford tough."

1998 Sienna

With 216,000 miles it stll runs well, but is showing it's 20 years of Wisconsin winters with no garage. Rust on bottom frame sides. Reglar service has helped keep it running well. Upkeep is expensive.

Best Vehicle Ever!

As I write this review, I am a little sad as I am saying goodbye to my 20 year old Toyota Sienna van. This van has been a work horse for my family and has given us years of faithful service with very few issues along the way. It has seen many family trips, many children and a couple of dogs that enjoyed traveling in my special van and we will miss her. I couldn't have asked for a better vehicle and it has never let me down.

Love it

My van runs like a new car and maybe better than some new ones that I see on the side of the highway. I know that is from the wonderful service work I get from "Bob's Auto ". When I drive into my garage, my wife tells me that she never hears my van. I have never had to return it for work not done right. Runs great folks. You Dig

1998 Toyota Sienna Van

Great vehicle with almost 300,000 miles on it. I always have it serviced & maintained and trust it to go anywhere!

Worth the cost of maintenance.

I tend to maintain rather than trade in. I think regular maintenance is the key. My van has served me well and I love it. I know the recent repairs nearly matched the market value but my utility of this Toyota is all I care about.
