Dependable

I use this vehicle for work and am amazed how well it performs. The van has over 140,000 miles and runs perfect. It will be exciting to see how far I can run this.

Best car I ever had

This comment was from my husband who died recently, he loved it. Many years of reliable comfortable driving, very few repairs in its 17 year life. Wonderful for road trips and Costco shopping.

Toyota Sienna 2000

My Sienna is almost 17 years old and has been a solid vehicle. It only has 152,000 miles on it but it runs great. I try to keep it maintenanced well but it is a work horse getting me around town and on trips. I hope to have this van another 17 years!

2000 TOYOTA SIENNA

WE HAVE BEEN SOOO VERY HAPPY AND PLEASED WITH OUR SIENNA SINCE WE BOUGHT IT IN THE YEAR 1999. IT IS SUCH A COMFORTABLE RIDE AND HAS GIVEN US SOOO MUCH PLEASSURE OVER THE YEARS WITH VERY LOW MAINTENNANCE COSTS AND GOOD SERVICE.

Great Bones But Room For Improvement

Had I never owned a later model Sienna, I probably would have given this van top marks. However, the 2004 redesign so improved the platform as to largely eclipse the performance of its predecessor. The van is extremely reliable and has few issues. I acquired it from my sister-in-law, who is a doctor and is extremely fastidious in the care she takes of her vehicles--as am I. At sixteen years of age, it has fewer than 100,000 miles on the odometer--itself a rarity. Everything works, which I would expect from a well-maintained Toyota. I have a friend who recently retired his 1968 Toyota Hilux pickup. He claimed that he had put over a million miles on it during its lifetime. Having borrowed it from time to time for household hauling jobs, I can well believe that. While my wife's 2000 Corolla was a bit of a lemon, I know several other Corolla owners who claim to have driven their cars a half-million miles or more. By that standard, my van is just getting broken in. One thing that kind of bothers me about this vehicle is the "chattering" body squeaks when I go over any sort of bump in the road. My previous Sienna--a 2004 LE that got totaled in an accident--never had that sort of issue. Another is the noticeable body lean in turns. Again, the 2004 redesign ameliorated that characteristic considerably. Other issues that the redesign improved include the overly-wide turning radius and the longer, wider, more-accessible cargo bay. The fact that newer models' third-row seats fold into the floor is also a welcome feature. Oddly, this van's driver's seat isn't quite as roomy for the legs as is the front passenger's seat. As I am quite tall (6'6"), this is more of an issue for me than it would be for most drivers. Some of the van's controls are oddly placed, necessitating that I direct my gaze away from the road while driving--a dangerous practice. On the plus side, this van's center and rear seats are much easier to remove and replace that are it's replacement's. Also, it's headlamp lenses are made of glass, which doesn't oxidize and "fog" the way that plastic lenses do. For its vintage, it's a really decent automobile.

Subperb vehicle

I purchased my Sienna new in 1999, and it has served me well. The mileage is quite good for a van, it has had few problems over the years, despite driving predominantly in the city under poor road conditions. The engine still has a lot of pep, and I could easily drive it for several more years without major problems.

Reliable, Good Size and a Pleasure to Drive

I bought this car new in the fall of 1999. We drove 7,000 miles on a road trip with my family from Colorado to the East Coast and back. It was trouble free and a comfortable ride with plenty of room for family and gear. It has continued to be a very good choice. I look at other options and keep coming back to this car. I've kept up with check-ups and repairs. It continues to serve my needs and gas mileage is good. I have 184,000 miles on it. When my hiking buddies want to use just one car to the trail head, I'm the one who drives because we can fit 6 of us easily.

Great van

I really have enjoyed driving my van for the last 15 years. It fit my body just right, right from the start. It still drives great and get good gas mileage. The seats are very comfortable and there is room for my dog or anything I haul. I love Toyota's. You take care of them they take care of you.
