Disappointment in poor quality of trim work on this vehicle, window seals, headlight lenses, rear lift gate struts seatbelts.
my 2006 sienna has been a reliable vehicle, I don't drive much, it has very low miles though the quality of the trim work is VERY disappointing. I would expect poor quality from general motors but not from Toyota. The rubber strips that run from the windshield to the back of the luggage rack on the roof are rippled and pulling loose, The outer lense of the headlight assembly is smoking/foggy looking. I was told this condition could be remedied by a light sanding of the headlight outer lense. I paid $50.00 for Burien Toyota to do this treatment, though the condition remains the unchanged. This vehicle is parked under the protection of a carport. To replace the whole headlight assemblies is very expensive and should not have to be done if quality materials were used initially in the manufacturing of this vehicle. The smoky condition of the headlights makes it difficult to see when driving at night, thus a real safety issue. This vehicle has been well cared for mechanically, all service recorded at Burien Toyota and only has 62,000 original miles on it. A shame that the headlights are in the condition they are in. Rubber window seals on the windshield and tail lights is also pulling loose. I realize the car is 10 years old but again. this vehicle is parked under a roof and hasn't been exposed to the weather.
