I love my Explorer!

If I could buy a brand new Explorer exactly like my 2000, I would buy it in a heart beat. I love how easy it is to check blindspots, not like the new ones that are so much harder and I love how it navigates in snow, nice ground clearance and option for 4X4 if I need it! It also has lots of space in the back to transport stuff and plenty of leg room for everyone.

Just runs and runs and runs

I bought this 2000 Ford Explorer new in December 1999. It cost about $30,000, a moderately large sum of money for me to be spending at that time, but it was worth every cent. There have been repairs and it's been through accidents but it still runs and runs and runs. I've never been injured in an accident because this thing is built like a tank. I understand that in 2015 Ford stopped building SUV's on the truck chassis so it has been worth my while to keep it in good repair. It is comfortable to drive and ride in especially for large or tall persons. It has useful gauges and electronics that are not a distraction to the driver. It is made with good materials that have worn well. I feel like I got my money's worth and then some.

Ford explorer, with four-wheel drive that is always in four-wheel drive.qqqqqqqqqqqqq

I have had this car for years it has given me very little trouble in fact considering the age of the car, as my explorer and I go on through life it has given me no trouble.1 this model is just a tad more narrow than most cars and a few inches shorter. That has been helpful in parking and beginning in and out of places I seem to get myself into. It is a tad higher than most vehicles. Which gives it plenty of room not to get stuck on rocks and stuff on the ground.qqqqqq

Love my explorer!

Absolutely love it !!!! I purchased it in FL in 2001 and had it shipped up to MA It has never seen a New England winter as I do not drive in the winter and besides it is 2 wheel drive I do not need 4 wheel drive .

I love this car

Ford really knew how to build cars in the year 2000. I bought this SUV new; I've had it for 20 years and it's never let me down or stranded me. I feel very safe driving in it. It does not feel like a cheap piece of aluminum foil, it is solid and comfortable. It has enough tech to be useful but not so much as to be a distraction. It is showing its years but it's still the best purchase I ever made.

Absolutely no critical thought process went into ergonomics for this vehicle; however, mechanically, it's pretty sound. Recurring regular preventative maintenance will keep this vehicle running for a long time.

Why I like my car

I love my car. Its has been a great work vehicle and I have had this car a long time. 13 yrs and still moving. Great size for me. Been great on mileage for what I need I do. It's been very reliable and have not needed to have any costly repairs with the age that it is now.

I love this explorer

she has 246thousand miles on her and still runs like a champ she is a born on date of 2000 after she gives up not sure if the new ones will preform the same. This has been my first all wheel drive will always have on now that I have had this one.

Dependable Vehicle

I purchased this SUV with about 7000 miles on it. It has been a very reliable vehicle. The picture above looks just like my vehicle. It is the Eddie Bauer model. Ford put in the MACH radio system which still sounds as good as new.

Not just an old truck

I got the truck as a back-up in case my other one didn't start, so its not just an old truck. I have to be able to get to work, I have no one else to get me there. I cant afford a car payment, so ,this is not just an old truck
