Great commuter car

I bought my Elantra new in 2008 from Everett Hyundai. At that time, it got great gas mileage (32+ mpg) and now, being 10 years old with over 124K miles, it still gets pretty darn good mileage, about 28-30, which I have no complaints about! It's very comfortable to drive, mostly to and from work. I love the heated seats and the sunroof. I have always had it maintained at the dealership where I bought it and feel they take very good care of it. I was told several years ago, as long as I maintain it there is no reason it shouldn't last 200K miles!!! That was great news! I think it's a great little car and really appreciate the team at Everett Hyundai where I take it for service. I just took it in for the 120K mile check up and it had well over 124K miles on it and not one person rolled their eyes at me! Thank you Everett Hyundai!!!

Dependable

The vehicle is nice. I did end up with a little older one. I had driven a newer Elantra and it was awesome. They have definately improved the car over the years. The seat would have been better if it moved up and down though

Good car

It's a good car. Excellent gas mileage. Slow acceleration, but. I can't afford the sports car I really want! Cornering could be better. Good size trunk, too, especially for its size. No mechanical problems. Good value for the money. And no screens inside, which I love.

The Hyundai Elantra

In 2008 I purchased to Hyundai Elantras that were the same in every way. In the past 11 years I have had only a handful of minor issues that have been resolved at the dealership. I feel the Elantra is a good car for the price. The only thing that kept me from giving the 2008 model a five star rating is the issue with the timing belt. This belt needs to be changed out periodically and it is not an inexpensive item. I had this belt changed out at about 42000 miles due to the fact that it was 6 years old. Fortunately, I understand that the manufacturer has gone back to using a timing chain so this is no longer and issue with the newer Elantras.

Great gas mileage

This is a fun car to drive. it gets great gas mileage and I enjoy having a manual. I also love the sunroof. I often use it even when most people would think it's too cold. It's also nice to have a small car when parking spaces are tight.

112000 and in great condition

great overall with 112000 mi. still a very good drive..no repairs in 10 years only regular service..no problems. wqe like the drive. dependable all the time. really got our moneys worth..Glad its a great car and we enjoy it..

2008 Elantra

Very happy with my 10 year old Elantra that just hit 155 thousand miles. It is a 5 speed and I get excellent gas mileage and I do enjoy driving the standard. The body is still in quite good shape so for now I will continue to drive it.

2008 Hyundai Elantra

Overall good auto. Smooth ride. No service issues. Needed front stabilizer repaired due to rough (poor) Milwaukee city road issues. Needed rear stabilizer parts serviced due to same road issues.Only two problems have been with the radio. Occasionally (rarely) when engine turned on, radio turned on (lights) but no sound. Restarting cleared problem. I apparently am only owner with this issue, since couldn't be duplicated at dealership. Now the CD player won't accept CDs, won't replace with factory model due to age of car and price to replace. Will seek after-market replacement.0

I don't have 200 words to express about the Hyundai Elantra. It works for me and I love to drive my car. I get great mileage in the thigh gas economy. I probably need my upholstery cleaned. I have grandchildren that I take to breakfast on Sundays. 200 is little to many words.

Love this car!

My 2008 Hyundai Elantra has a lot of get-up-and-go. It handles well and has an incredible turning ratio. It is a comfortable ride. I like the storage spaces in the center console. It also has 2 cup holders and 2 more in the doors. I wish it got better gas mileage. It gets about 25 mpg. I love the cruise control for driving on the freeway or on long country roads. I like the fold-down center console in the back seat that holds two more cups or can be used as an arm rest.

Great Car

This is the perfect car for me. The price was affordable. Gas mileage is fantastic. It is fun to drive because it is so responsive. It is now going on 12 years old. No major issues at all..I would like to get a new one with more safety features, but this one keeps running fine. I can't see buying a new one and having a car payment just for the safety features. .

12 years, still a great little car. 2008 elantra

Original owner. Car is easy to work on, phenomenal on gas and low fuss with maintenance. Car does not have much technology, but also did not cost much. Interior build quality leaves a lot to be desired but has held together pretty well for being 12 years old. Regular maintenance has been performed and have had no road issues since. Great space for being a small car and handles very well on the road and even does fine at highway speeds and on long trips. Have driven it cross country several times. Family has really enjoyed this one. No plans to get rid of it.

Nothing exciting, but reliable and low ownership cost

Over 185K miles total ownership costs have been 50% of what AAA gives as an average. Brakes are prone to road salt corrosion. AC compressor died after 12 years. Engine and automatic transmission are good still.

Vehicle has performed well; good mileage; excellent reliability; road noise could be improved, AM reception too directional, excellent FM/Stereo sound system and very good AC. Better ride might be accomplished with slightly longer wheel base. Excellent bang for the buck.
