Close, but no Cigar!

I would have given the car five stars, if it weren't for the integrity of the paint, which has chipped and peeled ALL OVER the car, making it an embarrassing eyesore for me to drive. Additionally, at the time Hyundai misrepresented the average miles per gallon. They were supposed to make up for it, but I have yet to see the payment, as the situation has been pending at least five years due to court appeals.

Have never liked it too many recalls on problems

would not purchase another one, gas mpg miss advertised, tires lasted less than 20.000 miles, battery also died before 3 years. very noisy from road,seat on passenger feel like sitting in floor, no way to change positions, just feels cheap

2012 Elantra Disappointment

I've had my Elantra 7 yrs and there could be improvement on the material used for the headlamps. The headlamps do not hold up to the sun or weather. Please go back to the good old days and use glass headlamps. Also the clear coat/paint is flaking off on my front bumper and side mirrors. For $23000.00 the vehicle should last a lot long than that. Also the motor has always made a loud clicking noise but I've always been told that was normal and nothing was wrong. I mentioned it several times to the service department. Also the gas mileage was not what was advertised. I was promised a gas card in the beginning and then there was a class action lawsuit but I've yet to receive anything. So no I really wouldn't recommend this vehicle.

2012 Hyundai Elantra

This is an evaluation of my own opinion of my car since i purchased it in August 2011. The smoothness of the ride is a little rough but to be expected with low profile tires. The front of the car has been very noisy some time after the 60,000 mile mark. I like the style and would buy another Hyundai if I would buy another car.

just average

bought for price, gas mileage & comfort. major complaints: car is very light & subject to wind pushing it around & no real snow traction. front windshield is subject to outside reflection, but this may be true to all sedan models with aerodynamic design. tire sensor light comes on every year on 1st cold day & dealer evaluation is $150, so I just let the light stay on now.

Don't buy a Hyundai

The car gets only 60 percent of the promised gas mileage and the warranty didn't cover the airbags. The customer who didn't have $480 handy to get the airbag fixed would just go without an airbag and that's DANGEROUS. Buy a Honda, Toyota or Buick and stay AWAY from Hyundai.

Elantra

I bought this car from a friend. It really hasn't given us any problems. We are just not happy with how it rides. Looking to upgrade soon. Ours have very few miles. its been driven by two grandmas so not mistreated.

Reliable for the first hundred thousand miles ?

I got the 100,000 mile warranty and they were pretty good about getting me in and fixing things but the dealership also told me there would be loaner cars if my car was in the shop for warranty related repairs. They never had a loaner car and I always had to rent a car will they worked on mine. It was supposed to get 30,000 miles to the gallon and was more like 20,000. I like the car it served me well and I'm pretty rough on vehicles.

Great, Reliable Car!

My 2012 Elantra Limited just turned 109,000 miles this week. Fuel mileage is still in the mid-30's and there have been no major repairs. I just wish it had come with a manual transmission!

Big bang for your buck

I have had my Elantra for 3+ years and am very happy with it. I put a lot of miles on my car as I live 40 miles from work. You get a lot of features of luxury cars on the Hyundai Limited. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it isn't well insulated and the road noise is fairly loud. Otherwise it's just the perfect little car (actually has more room than you would think). Handles well and pretty good on fuel economy.

Loud road noise while riding on the highway, peppy accelleration, gas mileage not as good as expected in city driving especially, paint job improved compared with older previous models.

Features and quality is good for the price of the car compared to some other brands. should be more honest about true gas mileage especially in city.

My FAVE Hyundai Elantra TOURING

Really enjoying this car 3yrs later. Love the high sitting driver's seat, w/o buying an SUV. It has pep, Love the hatchback and moon roof...DISLIKE that roof comes minus any tinted lip cover to block sun & rain. Bucket seats are comfy but if I drop something it's lost forever. It has more super duper features than I really use. Radio, tachometer, hide-the-trunk screen, and double chargers were replaced under warranty...kinda weird to have so many dash issues. One day whole dash screen went black. Lots of compartments. Seats leather. Carpet is gar-bage. Hate schlumper bumpers...prefer chrome. 2-3 recalls in 3 yrs.

Nice Little Car

I really like my little car. The fact that it doesn't get nearly as good gas mileage as the sticker said is a little irritating, but the MPG Reimbursement Program makes up for it somewhat. I have had only a couple of very minor problems with the car, which, except for the check engine light experience, was repaired under warranty (by the previous dealership). I already have 113000 enjoyable miles on the little car. It still runs like a top, has plenty of power and doesn't use a quart of oil between 5k changes. I am seriously thinking about buying another Elantra first of the year. Probably not from Coggin though.

Great Car

I love my car! Her name is Storm. I love all of the features in my car and the color. The only thing missing in my 2012 Elantra is the ability to know all of the songs playing on the dashboard. If you can connect your ipod or subscribe to XM satellite, you know all the songs playing. But if you are listening to the radio, the only thing you see on the screen is the radio station you are set to :( I love the dimming feature on my rear-view mirror plus all of the cup holders! I also love the ECO feature which totally helps of saving money at the pump. I can travel farther on less gas.
