LOVE THIS CAR!!!

My Elantra has taken me all over the place. Great on gas & performance! This car if perfect for a single person or a small family. Very comfortable and fuel efficient. It performs great on long trips and is a very dependable vehicle.

Best Car I've Ever Had

I bought my 2012 Elantra back in April of 12. With the exception of a new set of tires and regular service, I've had no problems with the car. Despite the mileage problem a few years ago with the mpg estimate, I do get 40 mpg on the highway (47 at the most) and 33 in my daily drive. The car rides nice, handles great, has decent acceleration (I have it on ECO all the time), great looking interior (beige and black) matches with the red "allure" color, and it looks fantastic. I love the styling and am very proud of driving it. It will be 6 years old in April and looks as nice as it did the first day. Great car.....

Solid vehicle! A pleasure to drive, park, and with no issues at all at 75,000+ miles. We have bought a second Elantra (2017) and our daughter is still driving our 2012. This is our ideal value family vehicle and it has room for five passengers, we have carried twin baby/boosters and still have room for a fifth person. And Hyundai seduce centers are a pleasure to work with, and we have used several between home and college locations/activities.

I love my Hyundai Elantra

My Hyuandai Elantra has been the most enjoyable car I have ever owned. It is sharp looking and often admired by others. It has been extremely reliable and the interior is excellent. whoever designed the interior placed easy to use knobs and buttons where it would be normal to reach them The clock with it's simple H & M is the easiest one to change. The seats are comfortable, the angle of the windshield is such rhat it is comfortable to drive in bright sunshine. The heated seats are very responsive and perfect when on short trips in the wintertime. If I were to make a suggestion it would be to all carmakers and that for a safe mesh "pocket" or bin to secure a woman's purse. Mechanically this car is great. My experience with the dealership has been spot on. They are courteous and helpful and all service calls have been excellent. Thank you for this great car.

Elantra

A bit too small for me as I am use to an SUV style vehicle plus I prefer to have my Kia Soul back but needed a vehicle and this Elantra just so happened to pop up in my price range. Now the Sonata I loved but still not as much as my Kia Soul.

2012 Elantra

I have tihis car for 6 years now and it still running like a brand new. There was a problem with the shifting mechanism but it was fixed under the powertrain warranty. And it is at smooth as it was before again. The car is fun to drive and it is very responsive as long as the ECO is off. It is gas economical especially when you are driving alone. Haven’t use it for a very long drive but it is very reliable in city driving. I like how the body paint retains its lustre. It looks shiny everytime it is washed.

A reliable car

This is a comfortable outstanding vehicle. It has beautiful features like Siri’s XM the music is great. Smooth performance and good performance. Just a great car overall. The color is great also enjoyable to drive.

Reliable

I’ve had mine for about 7 years now and haven’t had any major issues. Still runs great and still looks good. Got stuck in a mud more than 30 miles in a dirt road before and through their road assistance, they got me out within two hours and never charged a fee. Who could’ve done that for free??? I love my Hyundai and I’m happy with it for being just right for my life.

"Best car of 2012" and they are right!

This is my retirement car and it has been one of my best investments! Costs are minimum and in 6 years I have only had to do oil changes, new tires and replace a few filters (air & cabin) that I did myself! Great gas mileage and easy to keep clean. One thing that I would suggest to the 65+ people, go for the LIMITED. The extra bells & whistles are worth it for your comfort. Heated seats for old bones, GPS in there and you can slide easily in & out of the leather seats! I only wish I would have bought the LIMITED 2012, but I did not! Miss Elly is a great car.

Elantra OK

Most things about the Elantra are quite good. However, it's hard to get over the promises of great gas mileage, which we do not get. Also, the height adjustment is insufficient for my wife's seating. She sits to low to properly see over the dashboard. We had to purchase a cushion foe her to properly see over the dashboard.

Been a good budget commuter car

I have owned my 2012 Hyundai Elantra Limited since new when I bought it new in Oct 2011. It has been a good reliable car with a decent warranty. Cost of operation has been pretty low. The Hyundai Gas Mileage Lawsuit guarantee also pays me occasionally for the car not getting the 40 MPG Hwy that was claimed when the car was new. Even with this I get about 28 MPG in stop and go rush hour traffic and it can get 35 MPG on the Hwy if you keep it under 70 mph. I have 97,000 miles on the car and it has only been in the shop for oil changes, recall repair, and maintenance. I am on my third set of tires and had the rear\front brakes replaced. My main complaint is ride quality. It has a rear torsion suspension so the car rides pretty rough overall and worse on uneven pavement. Fitting the car with a decent but softer all weather tires mitigates most of the rough ride at the expense of some gas mileage and tire wear. Considering what I paid for the car it has been well worth the investment. I would consider a Hyundai and maybe even a Genesis model in the future although I would want a bigger car with a better ride.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Elantra

I have been so happy with my 2012 Elantra. It's been fun to drive and oh so reliable. I've been her only owner and feel very safe and secure because of the reliability she's shown. And, I love her sleek design, moonroof, tinted windows and heated leather front and rear seats! Indulgence and pampering, yet sleek and sexy... My son owns a 2006 Sonata and he's the second owner at 150k miles, just as reliable and dependable as when new. Yes, we're sold on our Hyundais. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Love it!

It's been a great car. Love the leather interior, GPS & backup camera. Roomy & sporty enough for a Grandma. Even have two baby car seats installed in back. Would definitely buy another Hyundai Elantra!

Not built for rural areas

I like the car a lot, and it's fun to drive, but I would not get another one. We live in a rural area, with rough roads, and the car is not built strong enough for the bumps and jolts it gets from our roads. Its suspension system has needed a series of repairs. Also, the bottom front shell cracks much too easily for an area where you often bump into snowbanks, especially when they thaw and refreeze to ice. Another problem: the nearest dealership is 150 miles away. But that was my mistake. As I said, it is a nice car and I like it--I have driven it over 100,000 miles in 6 1/2 years. Next time, though, I will look for something stronger and closer to home.

Best Purchase Ever!

I am asked by strangers how I like my Hyundai Elantra. I tell them that this truly is the best car Ive ever had. I JUST got new brakes after owning car since 2011. I had a few issues when car was still in 60,000 mile coverage. Hyundai never hesitated to fix a problem! Being a single woman, I have always felt safe . I am sure my answer to those “strangers” who asked me may have thought they were in a Hyundai commercial! The Hyundai Tiburon I owned before that was also a great car! Rather sporty I reluctantly traded it in for a 4 Door so my clients who were elderly, would have an easier time getting into my car. The Tiburon was a lot lower to the ground. Otherwise I would still have that car!! Im pretty sure I will have THIS one for many years to come!!

Would not purchase from Hyundai again

After owning the vehicle a few years now, I can say I will not be purchasing another Hyundai vehicle. I had many problems with the tires that came with the car. The button to my stereo stopped working and they neglected the problem while it was under warranty. The car has already had an issue with some part of the engine and I was stuck on an expressway because of it. Paint chipped. Steering wheel peeled. And the mpg was falsely advertised. They stopped giving gas cards as compensation. The back up camera occasionally stops working. I have many other things to complain about. NEVER again.

A no nonsense car

The car before the Elantra was a Mazda turbo 5 speed. I have always driven manual transmissions I bought this car based on the low mileage and that it was a manual. Believed in the sales staff who didn’t try to convince me that I wanted an automatic:
