hyundai elantra
I am an owner of a second Elantra and overall have been satisfied with both cars. However, I am questioning my decision to have purchased my second 2013 Elantra based upon my recent visit to Fuccillo dealership where I purchased both cars and get them serviced. First Elantra needed cabin filter replaced and brakes(rotors, pads, drums and calipers)after 4 years. The mileage was not beyond the average, and yet it sure seemed premature to need all this break work. Purchased second Elantra, and was told on 4/21 that air/cabin filters need replacing(80.00), a new rear caliper for malfunctioning(90.00) and new tire for 129.99. Now, as these repairs are considered maintenance, I am still concerned about this early onset of a brake issue(once again) and I have owned several cars and not once has another dealership or mechanic recommended cabin air filter issues; in fact owning a Hyundai elantra was the first time I have ever heard of this? Now, is this a Hyundai issue, an Elantra issue?? Dealership could not provide clarification other than the winter weather. Not sure if I will buy another one next time. Seems like vehicle is not holding up very well in winter weather .
