Sweet Car for the Price

The Hyundai Elantra is a great vehicle. I got the 4 cylinder because I was most interested at the time of purchase to save money on gas purchases. Since that time gas has gone down but I still love my little car. It does ride loud, but I wonder if that is because it sits closer to the ground. It is a 4 cylinder so I am reasonable as to the performance of the car. If I wanted more performance I would've gotten a stronger engine. It has been a reliable vehicle so far and the service at my local Hyundai dealership (Thornton Road Hyundai) has been on point. I would recommend this vehicle for 1st time car buyers or folks looking for inexpensive but smart transportation.

My 2nd Hyundai Elantra

I really love the style, the comfort of the ride and the positioning of the controls. I enjoy using the Bluetooth, but some people say they have a hard time hearing me. The car has some kick to it and can catch up pretty quickly. I wish I could have the rear ac/heat vents for backseat passengers without having to go to a Sonata (Too much of an upgrade just for that feature), but overall I'm happy with my car.

Good practical car. Great mileage. Dependable. Good power for four cylinder. Roomy for smaller car. Lots of trunk space. Rear seats fold downward to allow for long items to be transported.

A real nice ride for your local travel

Car runs nicely. Nice look to it. Great on Gas! Seats are not that comfortable, so make sure you get a package that lets you adjust them completely to your satisfaction. Can be hard on your back when on a long drive.

Steering not properly designed

This vehicle came with the so-called "sport" steering. This is much too tight for a family car - the slightest touch or movement of the steering wheel causes the car to veer off course. This is not like other vehicles which have a normal "touch" to the steering.

Love our Elantra

Great value for the money. Fun little car that will surprise you with it's comfort and reliability. The warranty is great too. Our tires wore out at 21000 miles and had to be replaced and that helped with the handling. Other reviews mentioned the sway in the rear of the car and we are now convinced after having replaced the tires that almost all of that was due to the tires that were on the vehicle when we purchased it. We enjoy our little car and would purchase another Hyundai. Great experience with the dealers and service is outstanding.

Nice but rough ride!

It's a nice car and great on gas but the breaking over bumps makes a chatter and also ride is not so comfortable on long trips. Had to replace OEM tires at 24000 miles.

I have the limited edition. I love the leather seats. The heated seats warm up quickly and even before car heater has had a chance to warm up the car.

Good but..

Not a bad car but the parts feels somehow cheap comparing to competition (Honda Civic) for example doors, and interior. It has a great look but not too much power. I don't drive fast so it's OK with me. What's important for me it has more leg space than a Honda Accord! I am only 6' but have pretty long legs and when I travel for longer distance I need to stretch them. It's impossible to keep my legs straight in Honda Accord or Civic, to have my legs straight unless there will be out of window ;).
