This is my 2nd Elantra. Like them very much.

I find the visibility is not as good on my 2015 as my 2004. Only problem I find is the brakes seem to grind or make noise when it rains. They don't seem unsafe but just don't feel right. When I asked about this I was told it seems to be notorious on the Elantras.

One small complaint.

One small complaint. The exposed trunk release on the key fob is too easily activated inadvertently. A problem when leaving a parking lot and carrying key fob in a pocket. Creation of a protector of the button would be a solution.

Elantra 2015 4-door

Great body style inside and out for the money. Has nice features and extra's for the money, and a good warranty. Car as good power under the hood so it keeps up on the highway's. Looks like an upscale car on a affordable price. Gas mileage is not as good as I thought it would be. Actually my previous Elantra got a little better mileage and it had way more miles than my current new 2015 Elantra. Wish they put a softer suspension in the 2015, rides a little ruff and bounces around a good deal on bumpy roads.

Great vehicle

The Elantra is a wonderful vehicle to operate. My Limited model has all the technology that any high end German vehicle would have for half the cost. I have not had any issues and if I did. I know my local dealer would render the issue fast. The only complaint I have is road noise. It is a little louder than I would prefer but not terrible by any means. That's why I gave four stars instead of five.

An amazing car for the price

I've put 15,000 miles on Elantra in the first year. I'm continually impressed at how quiet the car is and at level of quality of the materials in the cabin. It's not what I would call an exciting driver, but it was much better than similar cars from Chevy and Ford that I test drove. The steering is responsive and the ride is pretty smooth. Steering can get light in heavy rain; it's not a VW GTI. As a daily commuter, the car averages just over 30 mpg. I spend about 20 of 30 minutes in bumper to bumper rush hour congestion, so that's pretty good. The only potential criticism I have is that the seats could be a bit more comfortable. For daily use, they are fine. Longer trips over 3-4 hours might be a problem for some folks. I found the Nissan Sentea to be superior in terms of comfort, but it was about $4k more than the Elantra with fewer interior feature like the backup camera.

Elantra Is A Great Car For the Price

I was looking for an affordable daily commuter that had modern safety features like bluetooth and a backup camera. The Elantra was a pleasant surprise with a long standard features list. As a bonus the car is extremely quiet for a vehicle in this class. I put 15,000 miles on it the first year and all I've had to do is get the oil changed and the steering aligned. Additionally, the dealership experience was incredibly nice. No high pressure sales. I will definitely be looking at a Hyundai when I'm ready to upgrade.

2015 Hyundai Elantra

I really like this car but I am not head over heals in love. It desperately needs a rear window wiper. Visibility in bad weather is very difficult. I am not fond of the braking system. The car is a bit difficult to stop in a hurry and if you happen to hit the brakes when going over holes or railroad tracks loud metal noises happen and they seem to lock up but not stop the car. Nice interior. Easy to use dashboard. Sporty look but comfortable drivers seat. Great MPG! and warranty can not be beat.
