OK vehicle, good price, but has a few short comings.

Nice styling, good gas mileage, good performance, Huyndai missed making this a better car at this price range by cutting cost on: Interior materials Rear Drum brakes, in 2017? Why? 2 major quality control issues. Paint prep and exterior rubber trim quality is terrible.

Comfortable and good on gas

This is my 3rd Elantra. I’ve totally loved my Elantras however; this one had issues with all 4 tires- they had to be replaced within the first year. Also the paint on the hood of the car is peeling and the car is only 2 years old. Warranty won’t cover.

Early problem with cylinder coil

I had 39,000 miles and starting to have problems with cylinder coil. Too early but they are trying to fix it under my warranty. Hopefully I will not experiencing any misfiring while driving coz it’s scaring me. Especially my car is still new ( 2017 ). I bought my car on May 2016.

Not a good car for winter

I love my Elantra most months. But it does not handle well in snow or ice. Not a good winter car but great for 7 months out of the year. I lease the car so I was not investing in winter tires due to price and for this reason I will not be renewing my lease with the Elantra.

Good for the price

Performs very good , has power. The paint is a poor quality one scratches with the wind . This is my second Elantra and not sure will get another . The inside is poor quality, after a month started peeling

Hyundai Elantra with issues after 45k miles

Have had a Brake grinding issue after around 20k miles and an acceleration hesitation issue from a dead stop. Really shouldn't have any issues this early. Will take the car in to get it checked, but had a serious issue previously at the dealership?

2017 Model

Paint is substandard. I have owned many cars and rock dings from driving is normal. I am told by The Hyundai dealership that there was an issue with this year and minor paint dings begin a process of “flaking”. I made the mistake of using some touch up paint to improve the look and now being told...no problem with the paint.

2017 Elantra

I bought the 2017 Elantra basic model. It is a very nice looking car inside and out. I had a lot of little issues with the car that made it really annoying to deal with. The tires need upgraded for a smoother quieter ride. It wouldn't be a bad first car for someone, but I won't buy brand new basic model again.

Interior

I was an avid Hyundai fan and I have purchased three new Hyundais. The 2017 one that I purchased was a limited edition and I am not very pleased with the durability. The transmission slips and sometimes the vehicle fails to accelerate. The driver door handle area is peeling and when I complained to the dealership and asked to have it fixed, the manager claimed the damage is from my accord, possibly a ring scraping it alot. However, I am not married and therefore don't wear a ring on my left hand. I was very disappointed with how the dealership handled the situation as well as how Hyundai customer care handled the situation. It was not repaired because blame was placed on me. My next new vehicle will not be a Hyundai.

Great car... one consideration.

When I saw the beautiful candy apple red Elantra in the showroom that was it--- I fell in love. The test drive went well and the car handles nicely. Gas mileage is super! The one drawback for me is that the interior noise is loud. Even Consumer Reports agrees. The difference it made for me is that my blue tooth oftentimes does not hear my audio commands correctly. This was not an issue in my former Hyundai model. I even bought low noise tires, and that made some difference but not enough. So... even though I love everything else about the Elantra, I will not buy another one when I eventually trade in this vehicle :-(

Bueno

Buen carro pero muy pequeño para familias grandes y además muy bajo pero en sentido general es un carro bonito y relativamente barato, no será mi próxima opción porque somos familia grande y quedo extremadamente pequeño. Importante su seguro es de los más caros del mercado

I should have gotten a larger car or an SUV

My wife and I purchased our Elantra, mainly, because she liked it. We have enjoyed owning it, to a certain extent. We have found the seats to be rather narrow, and the ride to be rougher than anticipated. The seats aggravate our back and hip problems. Getting out of it requires some effort. An annoying, recurring problem seems to be the left, rear, turn signal keeps going out, or works intermittently. I have had to return to the Dealer several times within the past year to have it addressed, and will have to do the same thing next week. And, I wish it had a CD player. Other than those things, it is a beautiful car! We love the mileage it gets. The radio is awesome. The layout of the dashboard is very good. The engine is very quiet. Great warranty.

Safety is a concern. Otherwise the car as a whole is a plus.

I enjoy driving the vehicle but the safety of the vehicle is a concern. The idea of needing rotors at 4500 miles makes me nervous. I truly don't want to get hit in this car. Seems it's not safety important from the dealer point of view.

Bad paint

Inferior paint job and lack of response from Hyundai and dealer. After buying four new Hyundai’s in a row (since the year 2000), I thought I would receive a little consideration for my problem. The reason I was 368 miles over the paint warranty was my work schedule didn’t allow me to get there sooner. Thanks for nothing.

Ok car

I like this car but I dont think its worth the price. The ac did not work fast enough and heat did not do a good job in the winter. The vents are nousy and has a mouldy scent. I like the shape of the car. It was fun to drive snd very lightweight.

Needs improve on material

The car has a good power, but the materials are not a good quality, paint is bad has lots of dents and scratches since first day, the interior panels are pealing since the first week seat material stains easy and imposible to clean. Needs improvement in the details inside and outside

Not a bad car

I have the SE and it’s a good car just wish it was Bluetooth. With how everything is with your phone I think they should add Bluetooth as a standard feature for all the models. I needed up taking out the factory radio and getting one that has Bluetooth and navigation.

Too expensive for what you get!

I like the style and the overall looking of the vehicle but this is not all about the looking, this is supposed to be a car that will stay with you for 7 - 10 years and I don't see it happening with mine
