Great car but little problems

I bought an Elantra in 2010, and it has worked perfectly since then. I bought another Elantra this October, and it has had problems. Warning lights have come on two times and I have taken it in to get it fixed. The service I get is great, but I think a new Hyundai should not have any problems before it has 1,000 miles on it. However, the car drives just fine. I don't see any problems in driving it, but I don't like warning lights.

Great Vehicle but Not Worth the Price

I love this vehicle I bought the SEL in September for 17k and that was after spending 5 hours haggling with the sales people and telling them I was going to leave until they finally gave it for the price I wanted, it’s great however they just lowered the base price to 14k for the holiday season so I feel pretty lupset because they could have told me to wait till the holidays to buy this car. This affirming the fact that there is no car salesperson in the world that actually cares about the customer.

Comfortable & Economical

It has a spacious, well-built interior with comfortable seats. Additionally, it has good trunk space. I'm 6'4" tall and I have enough room for three to four hour drives without too much discomfort. Gas and brake pedals are too close for my size 15 4E shoes, and I frequently make contact with both when I first try to get started from stoplights. If the seat went back a few more inches, I could go for longer drives. I drive a lot of highway miles, and have been managed to achieve up to 52 mph in ECO mode. Highway speeds over 65 degrades fuel economy, but I can still get 45 mph at 75 mpg with cruise control activated. The engine and transmission perform well at both the Normal and Sport modes. I have no difficultly getting to highway speeds, and long twisting exit ramps are fun to drive. Heating and cooling, and electronics work well. When the time comes I will change to smoother riding tires. The tires are good on wet and dry roads, but are quite noisy on rougher roads.

It's Ok

It's a cute car and it has some bells and whistles however it does not manage the highway that well I feel like my car is blowing all over the place on the turnpike and it seems like it doesn't have a lot of powerhowever I am used to a larger vehicle but this vehicle seems like it struggles to get into gear

strictly work car

Bought this car because of gas mileage and warranty and overall cost to maintain for a work car. Only 1 "hiccup" so far. I've had it for about 5 months with over 8000 miles on it, so far so good. Good handling, comfortable ride, great gas mileage.

Love This Car

I'm really enjoying my car. The ride is smooth and comfortable. It looks and feels great! Two things I would change, however: there should be vents in the backseat area so that guests can better feel the air/heat and the sound system needs an upgrade, (I suggest teaming up with bose).

My 2018 Hyundai Elantra

My 2018 Hyundai Elantra is a good vehicle, however, I like the styling of my former 2015 Elantra SE better. Also, my new Elantra could get better gas mileage in the city, and I wish it came with all-wheel drive for winter driving. Last on my list is that pricing was not good in 2018 compared to when I lease my former Elantra back in 2015.

Hyundai Elantra 2018

Muy buen vehículo hasta ahora, se ve un poco delicado por dentro. Gasta más gasolina de lo que esperaba. Y es un poco vago al subir cuestas a menos que lo cambie a manual, ahí si es fuerte. El tener la opción de cambiar la manera del funcionamiento del motor, me ayuda en el expreso a correr más y se supone que en eco deja mejor rendimiento. Estoy contenta con el.

Great car

I am completely impressed, this car meets all my expectations, I am completely satisfied, I know that it is not perfect and that things can be changed. I would like the interior lights and the headlights to be LED. I would buy an Elantra again.

I would give the car a 5 star if i could have bought the car as a 2 door coupe

Hyundai does not sell the 2018 Hyundai ELANTRA in a coupe it seams like car manufacturer don't car about all of there customers any more why is this. The Hyundai ELANTRA is a really nice car but I would like to buy one in a new coupe. They drive really good get good gas mileage but this car in a coupe would look really cool.If they don't sell a lot of these cars as coupe don't make as many as you would a 4 door. But they should be offered for sell.

Love it!

I have had my Elantra Sport for about a year now. I love the car, especially for the money. I bought it during year-end clearance sales and walked away with nearly $8,000 in discounts. The ES is peppy and fun to drive. It has plenty of power to make driving fun again. The interior is awesome and rivals some more expensive cars I've owned in the past. However, I have had a blinking check engine light come on twice during heavy acceleration. My service center could not identify the problem. In addition, the trunk is not welded properly and has a slight unevenness to it. No big deal because it isn't noticeable unless you're really looking hard. The transmission can also be a bit laggy at times, especially when you're really risking it and pulling out in traffic. Sometimes the transmission is very jerky as well.

Love the Perks

All of the wonderful perks of a new car make me wonder how on earth I ever lived without. Examples would be: the heated seats, serius satelite radio, the rear view camera, the safety sensors! Amazing! I only have 2 negatives. My car model does not come with 4WD. The locks on the door. When you have 3 kids and your arms full...I can never seem to get the doors to unlock in the back with the double click push method on the door. 2 clicks...one click...two fast clicks...maybe a little slower click...then the car locks and I have to use the key anyway.... Other than that...the car is a dream!

Great value for the price

The Elantra impressed me. First time Hyundai buyer. Plenty of power and fuel efficiency. The dash is laid out well and the exterior lines or clean. The car gave me confidence and reliability on my recent road trip to the coast and back. Through the Smokey Mountains with a passenger and a full compliment of luggage it didnt even struggle to climb the 5000' above sea level through the mountain roads. The Elantra is sure footed in wet and snowy roads and easy on the wallet for gas consumption averaging about 34 MPG. The only complaints would be the stiff cloth seats, lack of lockable glove box and center console storage. Also the panic button being pooly place on the remote.(you activate it accidently when pressing the trunk open button) Peace of mind and of wallet.7

Great Handling

Great handling car with good acceleration. Awesome exhaust note and great availability of features for the price. Some road noise due in part to very low-profile tires. Easy to use climate and navigation controls.

Awesome car

The Elantra sport model is fun if you're looking for a budget friendly and reliable turbo car. The leather interior, wheels, exhaust all round it out making in truly look and feel sporty. Sunroof addition to a sport model is a nice touch compared to other manufacturers that offer sport models.

Love my Elantra -so smooth

I am very happy with this purchase. I had a Ford focus for many years And was not happy when the transmission went out on that car. I know this car will last me for many years to come and I love the way it drives, very smooth, tight suspension, is just a nice ride

power and excellent design

comparing to the same class to Toyota ,corolla, this car is more powerful , and the design is looking better. the features has more in the system. The only things that this car needs to be improved are the following - the steering needs improvement. it is not as good as Corolla.when you try to make a turn , Also the transmission needs improvement , when you drive uphill, it would not go smoothly, it has a hesitation before going back to normal.

Elantra

My car was totaled in accident. I got an elantra for a rental car and really liked the way it drove smooth. The gas mileage is great. I fill up alot less saving me money. It handles the snow really well I was a bit surprised it did as well as it did no problems at all. The only reason I dropped it to four stars it's a little hard to get in and out of. I'm a big guy so this doesn't help any. But overall fantastic car and buying experience
