Great vehicle, great value
I’ve been a big fan of the Elantra, as it has been my go-to rental car for the last five years. I bought a 2016 Accent used in 2017; great basic car, but it was time to upgrade.
The Elantra was my first choice; the year-end incentives were excellent - 0% and no payments for three months. Test drove a Kia Forte, as the dealer was offering even better incentives on the Forte. In the end, the Elantra Value edition was the winner.
I drive 60+ miles round-trip to work; well, before COVID-19, anyway. The car provides a comfortable ride with great mileage (I’ve gotten 44 mpg on a clear highway; average is 34 - 35, which is great).
The Value trim gives you a lot of extra features for a little extra money. This is my first car with heated seats; nice feature. It’s easy to connect either Android or Apple phones; very intuitive. The power sunroof is great, too; doesn’t blast rear-seat passengers, even at highway speeds. So many useful features are included in an $18k car; I researched the Elantra vs. a range of other cars, and nothing could touch the Value package for, well, value.
So, if you’re looking for a dependable, feature-rich car that’s fun and economical to drive, take an Elantra for a spin.
