n/a poor design of front seating area blocking panel cannot reach over to passenger side if needed when parked also hard to see 2nd and 3rd line of entertainment screen to read entertainer and song only channel you are on is readable

Hyundai Elantra 2021 SEL review

First car ever bought love the color of the car it’s different from the other models and i love it i do with it had a few other different features it is the SEL MODEL but it’s still nice and not to big and not to small it’s good on gas and have great safety features.

It's the details, the details, the details

A $27000 car my not seem like a lot to some people but it's a lot to us ( retired on fixed income ). We have owned three Hyundai before and were pleased. Especially with the warranty, quality for the price and gas mileage. Our current 2021 Elantra looks nice,drives well and comfortable. After owning it for a couple of weeks we began to notice some body panel fit issues, feature issues ( no place for sunglasses )and make ready issues ( poor ). Not major issues but enough to question our decision.

Love the ride of this car. Extremely smooth for a car with as small of a wheel base as it has. Features are amazing and there is no better value in the market. It's not a sports car by any means but it does have enough power for general use. The look is unmatched for the money. Stock blacked out rims look incredible once the window tint matches.

Handles good

I would give a 5 star but unfortunately i noticed that the hood doesn't align with the fenders and the gaps between both is kind of big, also makes wind noise on the drivers side, but overall the vehicle handles good, it has 3 driving settings that I love, drives very smoothly and it gives a great mileage range, besides that has lots of features that makes me feel like i am driving a level 2 self driving vehicle, Manufacturer warranty is excellent as well

Just my opinion

I wish my kids had a arm rest and cupholders in the back seats and some USB charging ports and pockets behind the front seats so my kids can put their devices in but it's a excellent car for the drivers

Great Economic Ride

Gas sipper and Chock full tech. Styling is way superb and a total transformation. Spacious and roomy for a family of 5. Tons of trunk space for tools , groceries, bags. Luggage. Steering assistant is my favorite. Along Apple CarPlay. The led running lights give it a super cool look.

my elantra

so far car has been great. i only have had for a month or so. needs some issues fixed but great on gas. nice to drive. lighting could be better for night driving and less safety feature or ability to turn them off.

It’s okay for what it is

It’s a peppy sedan but my main complaint is the seats are pretty uncomfortable for long trips. You catch yourself trying to adjust to the left or the right because of the stiffness. The radio has serious 2 second delay when using CarPlay. Audio is not matched with video. (Not driving) But lane keeping assist is a blast to use. Clutch feels tight and shifter has good weight to it

Pleasantly surprised

Buying a new car can be an intimidating experience. I was pleasantly surprised at how capable and friendly the sales staff was. Heavy pressure to sell was not present. The price was well within what I’d hoped. Jack Carroll also offers ongoing service.

Plastic on B pillar

Too much hard plastic, especially on B pillar. No seat pocket on the back of front seat. Must remove redundant panel to the left of instrument cluster. Is it because of using the same structure in Korean domestic market ? Cargo bottom cover is too thin and not dependable. There’s no trunk closing handle or opening on the trunk; you must touch outside of trunk to close it. This is unsanitary and inconsiderate.

Very cool body style

Kudos to Hyundai for elevating the design on the Elantra. The sporty look has garnered many compliments. Additionally, the cab is created with more interior space. Other than the car being a little lower for some folks, even my larger friends have commented on how roomy the inside feels. I’ve personally enjoyed the sportier look and feel.

The grill is cool

Love the grill. The back,not so much. It's ok looking but doesn't set my world on fire. There's a plastic piece on the floor by my left foot that sticks out. Eventually it will probably break. I just bought the car brand new. Lots of weird plastic on the inside. Doesn't bother me enough not to buy it, but you should change it.

Good vehicle

Love the new body style. It is a lot sportier than previous models. Came with a lot of features that are high tech, like drive assist and lane keep assist. Smooth ride and great gas mileage. Overall, feels like a good quality car.

I love hyundai vehicles

I love my new car, but wish the seating material was different. It has great safety features on it, it can pretty much drive itself. The only real problem is my driver floor heater only blows cold air instead of heat. I wish it had a CD player and GPS installed on it as well.1

Its decent

Decent car for the money (if the dealer isn't trying to over charge you). Has noises already for being a car with less than a thousand miles. Road noise is fairly loud as well. It has a decent power band and a good amount of power down low (since it's equipped with a turbo). The gas mileage is good at around 40 miles per gallon on average.

Beautiful car. Drives nicely. Fuel efficient. Just have problems with the rear brakes squeaking loudly when the car is in reverse. Car was taken in once for maintenance, and this is still an ongoing issue. Also it appears that the rear speakers are not connected.

Comfy, fun, relaxing

I am a pure bred American. I love all American made vehicles and I swore I’d never own a foreign vehicle, however becoming a responsible man, I made a decision that has changed my life forever. I bought a Hyundai, an Elantra at that. My mother had one.... says something. BUT!!!!! The 2021 is different, sharp lines, aggressive front end and headlights. Futuristic connecting taillights. Also a wing that is integrated into the trunk that peers off the back of the car with precision and excellence. It is a beautiful car. Like I said. It’s comfy, it can be fun to drive when thrown into sport mode, but most importantly its a relaxing drive. Going from a mustang GT 5.0 to an Elantra. I am enjoying it. Some will say I am getting old, no I am comfortable.
