My 2012 Interlagos Yellow Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track AT

My car is the complete performance car for me. I have modified the suspension to include: Bilstein B8 shocks and struts; Progressive lowering springs; Whiteline sway bars; adjustable front end links; Injen SRI; Jun BL 3.8 GT true dual cat back exhaust. I would love to make more power upgrades but so far Hyundai or the Aftermarket have not supplied bolt ons, or power adders such as superchargers, turbos, or stroker kits. Most other major manufacturer such as Ford (I had an 88 Mustang GT that ran an 11 second quarter mile) actually have performance parts that are emission legal and sanctioned by Ford. I realize that Hyundai does not move quickly into markets which is wise but performance cars with a robust performance aftermarket is not a risk. Remember "race on Sunday, sell on Monday?" What I like about my car vs the Mustang is that it is a true sports car with superior handling, braking, and somewhat crisp acceleration. The styling has people come up to me in parking lots and say "nice car what is it?"

Not built well

I've had to take this vehicle in several times for repairs and I've only had it 4 years, bought brand new. Motor is pretty great but everything else is cheap and breaks down a lot.

2012 Hyndai Genesis Coupe

The car runs well and is easy to handle. The body is flimsy. If the curb is as high or high than the front, it rips the front off. This has happened twice, once on each side. The repair is expensive. It happened when I grazed the curb in a parking lot and again when I pulled into a gas station on the New Jersey Turnpike. Both times the front end was just grazed. Very disappointing. The front is very, very low which, I know, is part of the design. There's just no way to see exactly how close you are to a curb. Other than that, I love the car. I would probably think twice about getting the car again because it's expensive and aggravating to have the front end ruined by a curb.

I do like the car. Although I do prefer a sedan over a coupe do to space. The car itself has had it's problems that I would not have expected on a newer vehicle.

2012 Genesis coupe

Car is fun to drive just traded in my 2011 Sonata another nice car. Just took a 1400 mile trip each way and the car ran great.The 2.0 turbo has nice power would like to have 6 gears instead of the 5 but not a major complaint.Nice on winding roads.

LOVE HER

I never wanted a Hyundai. Never thought I would be in one. In fact when I was offered to look at the coupe at the dealership I was like a child and said no with my arms crossed. I was talked into "just go look at it." I immediately fell in love. Fast, loud, drove beautifully, and a very easy drive. I purchased my coupe used (only a year old), but there were many modifications to the cosmetic & performance I would have done myself. It was already fully loaded, and upgraded. Overly priced a bit for the performance car that it is. But I love driving her around. I also love that no one knows what kind of car it is, and I am always asked "what is it?" She is unique & fun to drive. Worth the extra bells & whistles for a clean, smooth, comfortable ride.

Five Years and Still Lovin my Hyundai Genesis Coup

Love the looks and performance of my Hyundai Genesis Coup. The turbo gives me good performance and the pick up is fantastic. I was always used to leather seats in my previously cars but have to admit I do like the high quality cloth in my Genesis; never too hot in summer or too cold in winter. I have been stopped numerous times by people asking how I like my Genesis because they like the look of it and are thinking of buying one. I always give them a good review of my little red baby!

A great car

I bought it because I did like the style. The engine is perfect for the use. Some small flaws like the not properly working rear mirror and a weak under grid protection (which I did modified) and the GPS system hard to update. For the rest the car is great either for city and highway long runs.

Fun, Stylish & an Inexpensive Sport Car Experience

I bought my 2012 Hyundai Genisus Coupe 6 years ago and love it. It was my dream car before buying it and I plan to purchase another one soon. I love the style inside and out and I especially love the turbo because I enjoy driving fast and picking up speed quickly. The only thing I had issues with was with my Timing Chain; it slipped 2 times (at 50,000 miles and at $94,000 miles).im not sure if this is a typical issue for this car but it was concerning that it happened both times. Other than that, I love this car!

Coupe rspec

My Genesis Coupe is very fun to drive is very reliable is decent on gas as long as you stay out of the throttle good and comfy during long drives but on bumpy roads the car is not as comfortable this is upgraded suspension is great for handling.

Missing sunroof

Although this vehicle changed my perspective on 4 cylinder vehicles, I still wanted a sunroof and was told it didn’t come with this package-my ask is to include it especially some this vehicle is fully loaded with everything else - it’s a great ride, smooth & makes me feel safe. Appreciate the service warranty which makes me very loyal to Hyundai!! Great job!!

Powerful-Sleek-Reliable

This car is a head turner, but not its only attribute. I remember seeing my first one one the street in Naperville,Il and saying to myself "what IS that?!"--Found out by doing more research its "Best Coupe dollar for dollar"- review in car mag that made me take more notice for purchase. I've iwned my 2012 3.8 Touring for 5 years and have never been disappointed by its performance or it's dependability/reliability. At 71,034 I still have original brakes. Dealer inspectors said only in them"yellow" zone. Not needing replacement yet. I have original battery...grated I baby my cars and other than 1 set of tires at 58,000 and regular oil changes at ev7,500 miles, air/cabin filters; I have not replaced anything...and I go to dealership for service...not even headlamps or any lights! Love everything about this car.

Genesis Coupe Touring Edition

The touring edition suspension has a tight rough ride that "wears" on you over a long haul trip. But the 3.8 has plenty of power and the car is nimble in rush-hour traffic.

2012 2.0T

I love my G coup, by far it's the best sports car Hyundai has built to date in my opinion. Once I've driven the this one till the wheels fall off, I'll be looking to my next great hyundai experience. I bought my car two and a half years ago with 20,000 miles on it im now at 67,000 and other than replacing the tires,oil and fuel this car is solid and built to be driven not putting around store parking lots. Way to go hyundai.
