Red Car

Love this car drives great, few things are that I hate that I have to have a phone to start my car, this is the reason I’m going to trade it for something else, the interior handle and gearshift knob started pealing within a year and makes car unappealing, and wish back windows had a wiper, when it rains/snows it’s impossible to see out the rear view mirror.

Owned 2 Genesis Coupes

First one was great. Had 4 yrs then totaled 2nd one had nothing but issues at 12000 miles car over heated. Then at 15000 in dealer 6 times couldn't figure out. I had to get headquarters involved to get it fixed.

Great Performance Car

The car has been reliable (so far), and has terrific performance and handling. But there are drawbacks. Even though the Genesis Coupe has been discontinued, there are things that Hyundai should know about. Like the fact that a $37,000-plus car, built in 2015, has no backup camera. That is one the biggest drawbacks for me. Service has also been problematic (I always get it serviced at the dealer). Sloppy work has resulted in spilled oil on the windshield, fender, front seat, and in the engine bay on TWO separate occasions. During one routine oil change service, the mechanic did NOT secure the engine cover OR put the dipstick all the way in, which resulted in more oil in the engine bay. These kind of problems may well make me turn to another car brand next time around (and I have bought 2 new Genesis Coupes in the last 5 years).

Great car.

I continue to get compliments regarding this car. When I tell those that the Genesis Coupe is no longer manufactured they are disappointed. It seems that the middle aged are smitten with it, but are waiting until the kids are grown.

2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 6MT

I love this car because it combines great horsepower, torque, and decent fuel economy, for a very reasonable price. You can't get a rear wheel drive, 6 speed V6 sports car with this amount of power for a better price anywhere else.

A feel good experience love it! Handles great, no blind spots and fast. Speed when you need it. Can't believe they stopped making it. Mine has all the toys maybe that makes the difference. Bought 2 year old model new so reasonably priced. So normally overpriced somewhat. Pad the seats a little better for us road warriors.

Fun and economical

Bang for buck, it's hard to beat. Shame it isn't made anymore. Curious if it gets resurrected under the Genesis brand. Little tight on headroom if your a tall guy but not in an unlivable kinda way. May be tight for a helmet for track events. 3.8 is pretty quick. Won't hang with modern v8s but will stick with most anything else. Handling is too. Can be a bit tail happy. All in all into the regret my purchase at all. Love my Genesis coupe.

Hyndai Genesis Coupe

Vehicle provides a good sense of comfort and quality. While it may compete very well against domestic coupes (for the most part, sport coupes) it falls short, in my humble opinion, against foreign coupes (luxury) as far as the ergonomics is concerned.

0-60 in 4.5 seconds, sporty, handles extremely well, so much fun to drive... need i say more?

i love this car, it is absolutely a joy to get in and have in my life daily. it sounds amazing, the tone just begs to be shown off... find one, one thats in good shape, not beaten to hell, and take it home... take care of it, its going to be a classic!

Pls don’t call it luxury

Good car for the money. However, front bumper starting peeling in one year and car started rattling in 1.5 years. My ‘99 hoopty never had these issues. Unacceptable for a so-called “luxury” car in my opinion. Brought it to a Hyundai dealer who said they can’t service it because it’s a Genesis, the luxury brand. I laughed and left.

Overall quality

Love the car but too much plastic under front of car. Have already replaced the front shield twice and am not happy about that. An aluminum cover would be much more appropriate and much cheaper in the long run. Just replaced a radiator bracket $1500) because of that plastic cover in the front of the car. Totally unnecessary If the cover had been designed correctly.

This car is fun and impressive. It purrs when you start it and it roars when you want it to. I’ve had it three years now and I get interested people approach me who want to talk about my car. It has great torque but still a practical 26 mpg. If I drive responsibly, it gets even better mileage. And it is beautiful to look at. I have a carnuba wax product that keeps the paint shiny looking and it just looks great

Love my car!

Love my Genesis Coupe. I cant see myself trading in anytime soon for another car, umless, its a new release of the coupe. I only wish I would have bought a manual as shifting gears gets annoying at times. The Lakeland hyundai team were courteous and helpful then and are couteous and helpful now

My Genny

High and low beams are a not the same frequency and the shifter was too tall. Quad bi-hid's wound have been great. More importantly, a complementary dyno-tune would be excellent after one year of new car ownership due to fouling/break in. The car starts to sputter and pop after a year because the dynamics change after a while. you want to take out mustangs etc, then the tune would help immensely

LOVE MY GENESIS!

I LOVE THE FACT THAT MY CAR IS VERY UNIQUE. I GET SO MANY COMPLIMENTS ON IT AND PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF CAR IT IS. THE CAR IS SO MUCH FUN TO DRIVE AND IT HANDLES VERY WELL. IT IS A VERY COMFORTABLE CAR FOR A SPORTS CAR-LOVE HOW I SIT IN THE COCKPIT! I HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR TWO YEARS NOW AND I DON'T REGRET BUYING IT.
