2023 Santa Cruz

The collision avoidance system is very touchy and has actually caused a collision in our vehicle. Parking lot maneuvers with others where your vehicle has locked up to where you are not allowed to move. We also live on a major highway where you need to back on to the street and get out of the way. Cross traffic stops you dead in the roadway till vehicles pass you by. Not very safe....

drives like no other Sport Vehicle

The turbo engine has plenty of power and torque, the transmission shift crisp and predictable, the interior design and quality is outstanding.The innovated of bed design is very clever.

A good purchase with a few kinks.

This was worth the cost, however, there are a few kinks that appears to have overlooked. When the oil is changed not everyone remembers to put the pin back in the bar. Either that wasn't taught during training or it was assumed that technicians would naturally replace the pin. This has happened when taking my car to a dealership and a national chain. The electrical system also seems a little quirky.After about seventy thousand miles.

Fun, Sharp, and Practical

When looking for a truck/car body style, the Hyundai Santa Cruz filled my list of needs first, then the wants in a vehicle. The sporty "bat mobile' styling is a plus and adds to my liking. In my decision I compared the Santa Cruz to the Honda Ridgeline and Ford Maverick. During this process of many months, the Santa Cruz won the battle in my opinion. Bottom line, I have enjoyed my Santa Cruz.

Decant vehicle but…

The Cruz has horrible take off from a dead stop when trying to take off in traffic and can be hazardous. It wants to hesitate on initial acceleration so you have to make sure you have plenty of time. The car should have come with memory for the seats. Another issue is the remote start has a lot to be desired. It only works like 2/3rd of the time and actually works better with the app then the key fob. I bought the car for the looks but I probably would have preferred a different manufacturer.

Hyundai Santa Cruz.

The Hyundai Santa Cruz is a comfortable ride and is fuel economic. I have the 2.5L engine and it has good acceleration to get into traffic. The SUV platform makes the ride handle bumps better than a regular truck. Overall the Hyundai Santa Cruz is an affordable and economic truck to own.

This vehicle is great. It has a comfortable ride. It has plenty of power with the turbocharged engine. The bed could be longer but has been sufficient so far. The touch screen controls are not intuitive but have not created any problems. The safety features are outstanding.
