Transmission of turbo models is almost undrivable.

When starting from a stop, vehicle jerks forward violently 3 or 4 times, worsening in cold weather. Contacted dealer, was told service will take 4 hours and if the dealer determines this is “inherent” in this model, charge to me will be $175. Vehicle lost $10,000 trade-in value the moment it rolled off the lot, per the dealer (Graham Hyundai, Mansfield, Ohio.)

Overall, the Santa Cruz is an excellent vehicle. It's drawbacks are rear leg room and the engine's turbo lag.

Car has been in the shop for 4 months

My cruise control broke and the bed on my Santa Cruze has a broken bed cover. I dropped it off July 21st and my car has been there ever since. I still make my $1,000 payment every month. On month 2 I went and bought another vehicle because I was tired of borrowing family members vehicles. I won’t buy another Hyundai again.

2024 Santa Cruz Limited

Love my Cruz! It's definitely not your avg rig: Loaded with technology, smooth quiet ride, AWD, DCT transmission, moonroof, sliding rear window (that I wish was electric!), thumping stereo and cup holders too! haha! Luv meh-hundee! Would definitely buy Hyundai again.

Santa Crusin

This vehicle has been a great fit for me! I don’t need a full truck at the moment and still wanted some luxury feel to my drive. The Santa Cruz marries comfort with functionality perfectly. I’ve done long drives with ease and taken my vehicle on a sand for a beach side day camp. Handled the mild off road no problem!

Mystery

Great truck however; my transmission went from drive to low gear as I was making a turn. I had no way of knowing that at the time. I managed to get to dealership at a creeping pace where they informed me latter that day that the truck was in low gear. The problem has never occurred again and it has been very dependable.

Mostly very pleased

I'm mostly very happy. My comments/suggestions would be to allow the back of the rear seats to fold down as well as allowing the seat to fold up. The rear bed cover does not retract smoothly. It requires back and forth push/pull to get it to retract sufficiently to get access to a majority of the bed. As a suggestion for future models, I would suggest the ability to link the exterior camera feeds together and saving to a removable storage chip. This would effectively remove the need for a dashcam. I would like the option to auto-lock the doors as I step away from the vehicle.
