Most comfortable driving position
This bed was just the right size the hidden trunk was easy to access and reach the only thing I would change is have a magic gate on the tailgate so that it could swing open and be easier to access when needed the tailgate will support 6 ft or more I hold siding pieces that were 12 feet long. The car is very comfortable the transmission can shift a little bit erratically on incline but the 8-speed conventional automatic is definitely the way to go. The back seat is small but if you don't have children it is all right I wish that the seats were climbed more for the front the climate control the all-wheel drive system are flawless in this vehicle the brake assist and the safety exit as well as the blind spot protection are the best in the business the self steering or steering assist again best in the business for this particular vehicle it is not a Tucson I test drove the Tucson after owning the Santa Cruz and they are worlds apart the long wheelbase is definitely advantage but the form and function of the vehicle is seamless for the Santa Cruz it is definitely underrated. The car with four-wheel drive is sure-footed in the snow though I would probably install Michelin tires as the kumho tires don't deal with slippery weather that great. The build quality was good the only error I had were tail lights that let in water and then the dealership told me that that was normal which I don't believe it to be and the air conditioner did not work where once again the dealership which was Rusty Wallace I would not purchase anything from their dealership Network refused to fix and ask if I purchased the vehicle new and from where I told them yes and I purchased it from them and they still gave me a fight for the air conditioning which was missing an essential part from the factory. It took a while to get this through but I'm blaming the dealership not necessarily the Hyundai warranty the value for the money in this is in this vehicle only if you pay $5,000 less than sticker price or get a rebate. I would not pay $35,000 for this vehicle I would pay between $28 and $32,000. If they want to charge $35 to $40,000 it needs to have the reliability recognition of Toyota this was a much better vehicle than any of the Toyotas and I also own a Toyota RAV4 which I enjoy when I need something covered and hold
