Mostly pleased

I was driving a 2014 Sonata hybrid before this one. Sad for the smaller engine in the 2025..more engine noise and higher RPMs going up hills. Like that it has a traditional transmission ... no CVT. Limited model has auto rear view mirror night dimming feature which I don't like with an already tinted window. Like the two driver settings.

My Best Car Ever

I traded in my 2021 Hyundai Sonata Limited for a 2025 Hyundai Sonata Limited HYBRID. Besides feeling like I am doing something for the environment, I also love the quietness of the car & the economic benefits. The gas mileage on my 2021 was 340 miles a tank of gas. My 2025 achieved 580 miles to a tank of gas. The best feature of the car is all the safety equipment.

Constant problems with seat and mirror memory and MPG is correct

Car is nice and drives OK. (1) Does not get the stated 50 mpg. I average between high 30's and low 40's (41 / 42 mpg) (2) The heads up display (on my car) is slightly off center for a short person (like me - husband thinks fine). The memory seats and mirrors are not controlled by key fob but by infortainement center which is constantly losing it memory and must be reset each time. Also you must turn car on to select which user is driving and if seat memory has been lost your are either too far way (too short) to reach the power button or too close (if tall) and so you have difficulties getting into car.

Overall Very Good But Needs a Few Changes

Overall it is a very nice sedan. But there are a few changes I think should be made as follows: First, they eliminated the auto-dimming Homelink mirror so I had to buy one and have it installed. Going back to a manual day/night flit mirror is like going back to a car from the 70's just to save a few dollars. My car is a Hybrid but the interior lamps are all incandescent, they should all be LED as this is supposed to be a high tech fuel efficient car. The seats are decent but they could be more comfortable. It would be nice to have the memory seat button like my Accord Hybrid has. They offer a version in Canada that has a heated steering wheel but they do not include this in the Northeast. Styling is fairly good but there are some features on the outside that just don't need to be there and just make the car look a bit cluttered. Mileage is very good sometimes getting over 50 MPG. It is a bit light on the power but acceptable. You can set the level of regenerative braking from 0 to 3 but each time you start the car you need to reset the value. If you want a nice car with good mileage, a good warranty, decent pricing, and a lot of cool tech then this is a good choice.

Some features missing

Generally I am happy with this car , but there are a few disappointments. One the gas mileage has never got near 51. No matter the driving it stays around 43. My last hybrid would do a good job of showing how to get better gas mileage. I have not found anything on this car that helps. The other disappointing thing is some of the safety features. I am older and I wanting a car that did a good job with safety. This one misses it by a little. There is no warning when backing up getting close to an object. I feel this should be standard. The last disappointing thing is the seat needs more padding in the back part of the seat. It seems to sink in on long drives.
