We like our 2009 Hyundai Sonata Limited

We got this vehicle late in 2008. It is now 2017 and we have logged a more than 107,000 miles on it. It has been operating smoothly all these years and never gave us trouble. A sales representative in a Hyundai dealership was offering to buy it from us during a recent recall service visit. I said I am not selling because i like to keep this car even though we might decide to get a new vehicle. I like its performance and classic styling.

2009 Sonata

I bought it used and it's a great car. Great fuel economy, easy to maneuver, peppy enough for me. Very happy with the car. Better value than Accord.

❤️ My Sonata

I love my Sonata. With regular maintenance it runs beautifully. It is roomy and comfortable even on long trips and it gets great gas mileage. I would definitely buy another Hundai and have recommended it to family and friends.

Fidelity

I got my used 09 Hyundai in 09! I was in a hurry...took what was available...unbelievable...excellent for 8 yrs...never out of service. I looked at new cars but why chance it? I moved from Parkville to near Frederick...but here I am for service! I retired...the car is still young! Yep, I love this car!!!

Great car

This is my second Sonata. My first one was a 2004, which I sold to my best friend. (He is still driving that one today.) I then bought the 2009 Sonata I have and have over 92,000 miles on it. Very comfortable to drive and take trips in.

The car that changed my love for the Honda Accord

I owned 2 Honda Accords over 20 years and was a die-hard Accord lover. That all changed after I test drove the Hyundai Sonata. I have never looked back. It has been 8 years of affordable enjoyment. Give it a test drive and you might find a new favorite car.

Best Car I ever Owned

I love my Sonata... smooth ride, comfortable cabin. I have the Limited model so it has Everything you could want and more!!! I have driven to on long distance trips, the gas mileage is amazing and it is a 6 cylinder vehicle. It has POWER!! I get positive comments on it. More than I do on my Mercedes!! I highly recommend Hyundai.

Should have bought an AWD (all wheel drive) Tucson instead.

This car isn't exactly suitable for Alaskan climate. For example, last week I got stuck twice in the parking lot and at the intercession because of few inches of snow. Other than that, in the summer time it does drive very smoothly and makes good tight turns. It's a fun car to drive. Keep in mind that you'll have to ship wheels and tires from lower 48 states up to Alaska. To buy wheels directly from Hyundai store will be about 4 times more expensive than what you would pay for on the Amazon Prime (free shipping).

Favorite car so far

I have had my 2009 Sonata since July 2009. For the money I do not believe that there is a better car on the road. The car is reliable and economical to drive. The odometer just turned 100,000 miles last week. I have only had to replace the normal wear and tear items on this car. The car may not handle like a Benz or accelerate like a Porsche but I am happy with the 30 mpg average for my 26 mile drive to work each day. The air-conditioning and heater are second to none. I would not have a problem purchasing another Hyundai or recommending one to a friend. One last thing, this car was assembled in Alabama, USA by American Workers. It can't get better than that.

Average in the long run

The repairs I've paid beyond the warranty makes me wish I purchased as Honda, as I'd most likely see less of the 'average' quality issues and weird engine/starter/etc. issues. For example - a starter should be covered for 10 years, if it fails at 5 that is poor quality to me. And for a car to become stuck in drive, with no way to turn it off (other than a manual override) - that is either poor design or poor quality. Even though that was covered under the warranty; it is a hassle every time something goes wrong. And the dealer refuses to provide a loaner car, which should be a free service - period. I feel I've spent more on this car with repairs, than would have if I bought Honda that cost 2,500-3,000 more.

Love my Sonata!

I've driven this Sonata for 5+ years and love how it rides. I've had no major repairs and kept up with the maintenance schedule. The interior has more room than many of the SUVs I've ridden in. LOVE MY SONATA!

I love my Sonata and have no regrets buying it. The car is very economical to drive. Gas milage local and distant is unbelievable!

I have had my car since Nov 2008 and was a little apprehensive buying a new car on my own. My son-in-law helped to pick it out. I wanted an economical car to drive and the 100,000 mile warranty helped the decision. I took a trip to Boise and filled it up twice and had plenty of gas after we got there. I'd recommend this car to a small family as it sits four or five people very comfortably.
