Sonata

I love my Sonata but am upset with myself for not buying the Tucson. The car sits low and is hard for me to get in and out of, where the SUV's seats are higher. Because of gas mileage, I purchased the Sonata. I would love to buy the Tucson but am still paying on the Sonata because of refinancing 3 times to lower by payments. I think Hyundai has one of the best cars on the market.

2012 Hyundai Sonata

this is the second Sonata we have owned (2007 & 2012) the 2012 is a hybrid and we just love it except the passenger seat is not electric. the economy is great low to mid 40"s. my Chevy truck 16 to 19 mpg we drive the Sonata most of the time. it has lots of room and very comfortable.

2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

No fast pickup, mileage not as suspected, no light at trunk release button, blinker too quiet... should have blinker light showing in driver's side mirror, have to watch that I do not pull in too far and hit retaining curb in parking lot because of low front bumper, dissatisfaction with radio....had supposedly fixed twice but probably got a refurbished unit...then finally a brand new radio was installed...yeah and no problems for two years, wish the adjustable steering wheel would adjust higher when exiting vehicle, wish a beep would sound when I back up and get real close to another car when parallel parking...yes I do practice parallel parking when available. My Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is the deluxe model, wish I could have white wall tires. It is a good looking white car.

comfortable reliable transportion

reasonably priced car with comfortable seating, decent power, reliable handling and plenty of convenience features. only gripes are the low front bumper and the parking brake which still has too much play after several attempted adjustments.

Routine maintenance with a particular problem of a light on driving panel.

As always I will take my car to the dealership for any routine maintenance, as I feel that there is better service with a center that knows my car... And ever there is a particular problem, i'd rather have the dealer repair the problem than someone that is unfamiliar with any car issue.

Sonata - keeps getting better

Purchased my first Sonata in VA as a commuter vehicle in 2002. Upgraded to a 2007 model in 2011 in IL. Upgraded again to the 2012 model this year (2016). I was not initially impressed with the 2012 styling, and the mileage is a little less than my prior Sonatas, but this 2012 is still a great performer with a smooth ride and great pick up. For this particular body style, a backup camera should be standard. All the other comfort and safety features are definitely worth the investment - power driver seat, steering wheel controls, excellent sound system, blue tooth integration, etc.

Very Reliable

2012 Hyundai Sonata SE Turbo

Excellent interior layout, material on steering wheel rubs off after a while. Performance is great, good gas mpg but power when needed. Overall best bang for your buck, but where it falls short is suspension and use of electronic steering.
