I love my Sonata
I bought this car after their owner sold it at the Courtesy Hyundai dealership in Tampa. Great gas mileage (not as good as a Prius, but for the price, the Sonata is the one to go to), big gas tank, excellent sound for music, easy connection with your phone and your music devices. I feel safe driving with my car. My only complaints are that when turning (not a sharp, fast turn; a short, slow turn) can be slightly jolting and things tend to move around easily. With my husband's Hyundai Elantra, turning is more smooth. I had my breaks inspect, with no problems found. Even with proper car alignment, turns lack grace; not a very smooth ride then for the passengers! Another complaint, mainly because I'm 5'2 ft. tall, is that when I want to back out and turn myself to look backward, the way the back of the car is designed doesn't allow me to have big enough space to see further down, or the opposite, with my seat raised as high as it can go, I find it hard to look further in front of me. In an Elantra, none of this is a problem.
On the plus side though, the front seat (and the mirrors) is very versatile and easily adjustable. On a long trip though (2+ hours), the seats get uncomfortable, because they are too firm, and have to frequently adjust. Some people would not mind this if they prefer firmer seats; when seating on the driver's side, it seems fine. Car seat compatibility is fine and safe for our son; for booster seats, just make sure you have one of those shoulder straps to adjust the seatbelt to your child's height. Drives overall are smooth and quiet, even on a highway, where you will get the most out of your gas mileage. The acceleration is decent, and the car is easy to control; very beginner friendly. Just don't expect to go joy riding in it; if I wanted a "fun" car, it would always be one of those fancy sports cars (I'm not into those though; I've always looked for reliability. This car does exactly that to fulfill that need; a car you can trust!). There is good space in the glove compartment, and in the middle compartment, and all around. Don't expect it to do the work of a SUV though!
All in all, despite the little flaws here and there, I love my Sonata, and will drive it for years to come!
