My 2013 Hyundai is the best car I have owned. It gets good mileage, has a very comfortable ride, always reliable, and handles like a smaller size car. No repairs have been required in my 1st 5 years of ownership and regular maintenance has been minimal.

Good mileage.

This is a well put together vehicle; Features are absolutely fantastic. Recalls are honored and handled professionally. Dealership service has been great. I will recommend this brand vehicle to others, especially first time buyers.

Practical and reliable

I love the warranty that Hyundai provides on the Sonata and it is a very practical and reliable car and has been very good to me. I traded my 2007 Camry for this car and got a great deal, but the comfort and quietness of the Camry wasn't quite met. I have no backup camera ,but I guess that and the later tech accessories came with the models after 2013. So I can understand that.

My 2013 Sonata

Is a dream of a vehicle. It drives smoothly and is comfortable to be in. Engine operates excellently. And Hyundai service at the Northtown Hyundai dealership in the Buffalo, New York area is excellent.

2013 Hyundai Sonata GLS

I loved my car from day 1, it has always been very dependable and has been very low maintenance. My daily commute to and from work is a approximate 100 miles with almost 200,000 miles on my car it has never left me on the side of the road.

Hyundai makes a good car and they stand behind their warranty.

We've enjoyed our Sonata over the past 6 years. It's ran well, rides smooth and quiet. Our concerns have been the electronics. For whatever reason, I'm having to put in new head lamps frequently, the tail lights short out and I'll either jiggle the wires or replace bulbs a lot, the overhead console light switch stop working, and a few other minor electrical problems that have been a bit annoying. I don't think this is a common problem though. We've had two other issues (not electrical) and Hyundai quickly fixed both problems at no cost to us. They even paid for a rental during one shop visit. They've been really good about standing behind their product.

Great Car

It is a nice car but the outside noise does tend to be loud. The blind spot should be built in but on the 2013 it is not. All the other features of the car are nice. We love the 100,000 mile warranty.

Best Car We Have Owned

We first purchased a 2011 Sonata after going thru reviews of numerous vehicle models. The styling and safety features sold us on the Sonata. In 2013 we leased a new Sonata with all the additional features we wanted. After the lease was finished we purchased the car and still own it. As we are not getting any younger this will probably be the last car we buy. More so because we have only 20,000 miles on this vehicle. My wife cannot see herself in "any" car but her Sonata.

The staff were very friendly. The girl that took care of me and my car was amazing. She took care of all of my questions. She made sure that we were comfortable while our car was being serviced. When the service was complete, she clearly explained what the service department did to my car. She also explained what could be expected for the next Service. She made our wait enjoyable.

Slick Design But Has Engine Issue

I bought this car from the first owner. I like the fluid exterior design very much and the exterior is quite roomy and stylish. The amount of technology Hyundai put in it is way up there, considering the price tag and in comparison to its midsized car rivals. It’s fun to drive and luxurious in my taste. One drawback I encountered is the oil issue of the Theta II engine, as it was much documented. My car’s engine just burn oil, like a quart after 600 miles (average). This promoted me to go to the dealership last week and be back in two weeks for the oil consumption test. Hopefully my car issue will be remedied as it is still under warranty. Other than that, I found no other problem. It’s a great car with very good handling and response. Will definitely recommend this car, or other Sonatas, if not for the engine issue.

I love my Sonata!

I have never had a problem with my Sonata. It runs great, has good gas mileage and is comfortable for me and my guests. I keep the Sirus XM on, so wherever I am at I have good music, news or a sports channel. When I thought I was going to be stranded in Las Cruces, NM, Borman Autoplex got me right in and took care of me and my needs. They allowed my mini Schnauzers - Granddogs inside while we waited and were so accommodating. Thank you to Joel Galvan in Service! I would recommend Borman, as their service was exceptional!

Best car I ever bought.

I am on my 3rd Sonata. I would not by anything else. I have never had a problem with any of them. Since moving her friends and relatives bought Hyundais. One bought an Alantra. another bought a Tucson 2bought Sonatas. They like myself like the looks, the interior room, how it handles. I wrought never buy anything but a Hyundai. Any style whether it's A Veloster, Sonata,Tucson or Santa Fe and any other model you will by a winner. You get the best warrantee in the business.

I love it!

This is my second Hyundai Sonata. Love everything about it. I feel safe and I like the size. It's comfortable driving and very roomy and the trunk is a nice size. When I bought the car my sister made a comment about how nice the car was and rode really nice.

I love my Hyundai but...

I love my Hyundai, but I am not happy that my engine died and when going to be serviced I was informed that there was a recall on all 2013,2014,2015, etc. engines. I heard nothing from corporate and that is not good P.R. Luckily i was able to get a new engine for free because of it.

Hyundai Sonata

I had a 2002 Sonata and drove it for 10 years never once gave me trouble. So I gave it to my Daughter and purchased a 2013 Sonata and it is still a very dependable car. It has been worth every penny. Love my Hyundai!

Not what I expected.

I bought this car new based on what the advertised gas mileage (about 24 MPG city and better than 31 MPG highway). However, I am disappointed with the performance of the car. Only on rare occasion did I get up to 25 MPG (combined city and highway driving). The vast majority of times is around 21 - 22 MPG.

Why I like my Sonata

My Sonata has been an outstanding investment. I have just over 30K miles on it and it has consistently delivered an average of ovefr 19 mpg in town, which is where I mostly drive, and over 30 mpg when I drive to such places as Corona and San Diego.

A/C poor quality

Purchased car new. Very good on gas and smooth ride. Front passenger seat sits too low. Feels like you are in a hole. .Very Disappointed in A/C quality . Should not have to replace compressor on 6 yr old car. My previous Toyota A/C lasted 15 yrs. Will consider another brand when time to buy again.
