Hyundai Sonata

at 30,000 miles I had to replace all 4 tires and at 37,000 I had to replace the battery. I thought a Hyundai should be put together better than that.

2013 Sonata

I am really scared to keep this car for the long term Although my extended warranty has covered 2 expensive repairs, it will probably run out just before the engine goes on this car (Typical engine failure between 60-130k). I will never buy another Sonata, I like the Hyundai SUV's but if I ever get another mid size car it will not be this model

It's okay

Overall the car is cheap. It's self efficient as far as gas goes but all plastic inside. I wanted something that looked sturdy not so cheap looking. If you want a car a sonata isn't it. Go big and get a genesis or SUV.

The vehicle has way to many recalls. The engine is going because of faulty parts is ridiculous. It is a huge inconvenience for the customers.

The car drives ok but doesn't feel safe or recite when driving. I prefer cars that are more solid to the ground and feel safe.

Eh!

My overall review of the Sonata is eh! I like the gas mileage, hate the fact that the doors swing back when you open them. Since I've bought it, the back overhead light comes on randomly when you hit the hood with your hand. You can't put anything of importance int he console, if so, it eats your stuff. Huge problem. All my credit cards and insurance cards are in there now for good. Its not very roomy as I thought it would be.

Don't Buy A Hyundai

I have had this Sonata for 3 years and the A/C broke and was in the shop for a week, the compressor just went out, and the wipers quit working and had to be repaired. Every other week I had to put air in one of the tires because of a leak no one could find. I had to replace the tires after two years of use. Hyundai is a very cheap brand and you get what you pay for.

Not as impressed with the Hyundai as I was when we bought it.

We have had this vehicle in three or four times for recalls. B y word of mouth from our daughter and her husband, no issues with the Hyundai's they purchased. Their vehicles were much less expensive models.

Terrible Headlights

The headlights point downward. Whenever driving at night I need to put on the high beams. Even then, the ability to see is limited. I never get notification from oncoming traffic that high beams are on which tells you they point down. It's a serious hazard!!! Car dealership says nothing can be done. It's a manufacturing defect. On the upside, it has great pickup.

World of Trouble

The car was amazing when I first got it. But I have already had loads of issues. Tons of “defects” and “recalls” had to have the transmission rebuilt at 86k miles. It was “rebuilt” and runs the same.

A little disappointed

My first Hyundai was a Tuscan, I should have never traded that in, I loved that vehicle. I traded it for the Sonata, which I'm so disappointed in, terrible in the snow & rain, nervous driving it. Loved the SUV's better. I will go back to a Tuscan some day, hopefully get my payments cheaper.
