I love my new Sonata. The back up camera is extremely helpful, especially at night. I'm still learning all of the new technology but my son is loving it.

The standard options on this vehicle exceed expectations with the price paid compared to other competitors. Could improve on some things. Conservative body styling. Ample HP. Other vehicles were less roomy in comparison.

If you are looking at the Sonata, do not overlook the Sport model

first 5000 miles

Took a 3000 mile trip to Houston, Tx . averaged 33+ MPG going into a very strong head wind at 80 MPH. Coming back with a slight head wind the MPG went to 40+ at 80 MPH. The smart cruise takes some getting use too, especially coming upon a semi thats going 78 MPH, The car slows very gradually to match the truck speed and you are kind of lulled into that speed. Not much difference between 80 and 78 MPH. When you decide to pass and pull into the passing the lurches forward to get back to 80MPH. The GPS made a lot of mistakes. Know where your going before you rely on it.

Enjoy the comfort and roominess of the Sonata. The extras are well appreciated. The only negative thus far is the poor quality of the exterior paint durability. It is very easily scratched.
