Can't imagine getting a better vehicle for the same price!
In the last 7 months since we bought our new '17 Sonata, we've put almost 10k miles on it. We've taken long trips, through the mountains, driven in every weather condition (except snow & ice), and it handles very well from hard braking to cornering to smoothing out road imperfections. We live in a pretty harsh environment (southwest desert) the car heats and cools exceptionally well, even at 115F outside. A few times we've traveled several hundred mile with 3 adults in the back seat, with 5 adults worth of luggage in the trunk. On our long trips I set the cruise at 80-85 mph (speed limit here is 75) and with 5 adults and the A/C running we averaged 37 mpg highway and 28 mpg city.
The car is no Corvette in the performance department, but easily passes at highway speeds, and getting 37 mpg at 80 mph carrying 5 adults and their luggage is nothing to sneeze at with gas prices where they are!
With everything we've done with the Sonata, I honestly have NO complaint at all. Not. A. Single. One!
Our very first car purchase was a Hyundai Excel back in '88 and that was the biggest pile of junk I have ever owned, bar none! But THIS 2017 Hyundai Sonata is probably one of the nicest I have ever owned which says a lot since we've had 3 other vehicles well over $30k (Toyota, GMC, and a Tahoe)...
If you're in the market for a 4 door car, DO NOT PASS UP the Hyundai Sonata! You will hate yourself forever if you do :)
