1st Sonata was great. This one has some issues. I was not told what the software update was about and was horrified on Mother's Day to find myself lurching down a main road in a local city. This is apparently called "safe mode" and was set off by the software update. A warning that this could happen would have been nice. In spite of Hyundai knowing about this problem, when I took the car in, they did not have the parts and I had to rent a car. I was told two days but the part didn't come in for several. Meanwhile, Hyundai paid for the basic rental cost and I had to "apply" for the remainder (taxes, fees, insurance). I am still waiting for my money as of August 30. This has soured me to Hyundai in general though the local service department has been fine.
