Top quality. Great buy for the price. But not without its issues.
This is my fourth Sonata, and to be honest, I don't like it as well as I did my 2017 Sonata Limited.
Small annoyances: they have done away with the small clip on the inside of the glove box door that held a pen. Why!? Gaping hole ahead of the gear selector where I put my wallet, keys, a pen, phone, note pad, etc. But no panel to close over it. Don't like that push-button shift has no lower gear to select. Austin has many hills, and I use a lower gear to prevent from riding my brakes. Center console should be two levels ls as was the case in my 2011. As it is now, it is too deep, and everything settles to the bottom. Lowest setting on seat warmer becomes blistering hot in moments and must be shut off. Right seat is not powered in the SEL and sits so low to the ground that dimitive pax can scarcely see out. There should be a lever to raise the seat. Cabin has not a whisper of wind noise, but significant road noise is unacceptable. Rear turn signals should be amber and not red, which can be confused with a brake light. Love the styling, particularly front end. Controls fall readily to hand and easy to read. Headlights are excellent. Last but not least, there is no longer a small compartment above the mirror to store sunglasses. Bummer! New engine is very responsive. Excellent sound system.
