Junk

These cars are very cheaply built. I believe they skipped a lot of reliability for fancy features. I suggest going back and making changes so that these vehicles will last a lot longer never mind all the gadgets.

2023 Sonata

Had problems with new car 2 days after taking delivery. The manufacturer nor delear would do anything for me because they could not diagnose the problem. I got stuck with a lemon. Hyundai needs to fix all their problems before making new cars.

I bought a 2023 Hyndai Senota 3 months in it started shutting off while driving. I have tooken it to the shop over 6 times with vedios of what it dose and its still not enough for them to do anything about it. They first told me its not safe to drive but called me back. To tell me that they could not recreate issue and the car is safe to drive. they have just basicly have told me they canr help me anymore would not recomend

2023 sonata SE

My vehicle is very unreliable. There are TSBs out on the poor reliability of the fuel injectors. I have had two fail on the highway in unsafe conditions. Hyundai does not have a sufficient answer to make this vehicle for anyone moving forward

Great car, awful service

All of the Hyundai dealers have a 3-4 month backlog to get service and they do not offer any loaners so basically IF anything goes wrong you are stuck without a car (which happened to me). So as great as the car may be, and as good as the warranty is, all of that doesn't matter when something does go wrong.

The headrest is killing me

Everything else about the car is overshadowed by this one problem. The headrest pushes your head about 3" too far forward, and I literally arrive in pain if I drive more than 20 minutes. The headrest is not adjustable. Until I find a third party solution, I will be in regret mode for not realizing this during the test drive.

Broke down before 1st oil change

Car exceeded expectations until around mile 2700 when without warning it didn’t start one morning. Dealer says fuel pipe/pump broke, and needed to order parts to replace. My brand new car has been there for two weeks now, still awaiting repair.

Vehicle feels like it needs a tune up and it’s new

Vehicle rattles when it comes to a stop and at take off at first I thought I wasn’t driving it properly and then I thought It only rattled when I would put it on stop mode but it does it any way and it’s automatic

Comes with excessive rattling

It has excessive rattling and chemical odor smell. I'm not happy with the build quality at all. I want the issue fully resolved with the interior rattling noises. Dealer said I can sell my car to carmax to get highest price and they'll match it. I'm extremely sad with quality of my vehicle. I put down 24k for my new vehicle and I feel like I lost it with a bad quality vehicle.

I bought this car bran new. After driving 3 weeks it broke down. Bad fuel injector. I bought extended 10 year warranty. Roadside assistance was awful. I sat along side of the road 5 hours

I bought this car brand new. Within 1,400 miles the fuel injector went out on it. I was broke down along the highway. Roadside assistance took 5 hours to pick me up. Than it was 7 days to get my car repaired.

Not happy with Hyundai

I bought this vehicle brand new. After 1,400 miles, the fuel injector went out on it. Now the vehicle doesn’t shift like it used to. It hesitates multiple times. When my car broke down and I called for Hyundai roadside assistance, they quickly responded to get help but no one showed up for 5 hours !!!

I’ve had more issues with this vehicle

To many issues with this vehicle it has spent more time in the dealer shop that it should have being a new vehicle. It needs new tires already at 18K miles. Needed new brakes. I’ve had so many issues with it.

Great car, broke in the first 1k miles

Purchased the 2023 Sonata NLine and it is a great upgrade from the SEL+ I previously owned. Took the car to the dealership and was told I need a new transmission already. Not overly thrilled right now.

Could be better

I love the way this car looks and handles. However, is has randomly started by itself several times, one even in the middle of the night. And sometimes doesn't want to start. The cabin noise is very loud and my engine transmission and brakes all make weird noises. The car also hesitates while driving from time to time.

Nice features but not a Avalon

Like all of the advance features, but acceleration from 0 to 30 is choppy. Either too slow or too fast. Also seat is roomy but hard. Previous two cars were Toyota Avalon. This doesn't match a Avalon engine and ride.

Great car now but time will tell

After being burned like so many by the 2011-2019 Sonata Engine Recalls and Hyundai's lack of responsiveness to the Class Action Lawsuit, I was hesitant to buy another one. Originally, I had loved my 2011 and you couldn't beat low cost purchase price or maintenance costs. That said, having a trash heap / time bomb at 130,000 miles is not a good thing. With few options to trade in my 2011, I purchased a 2023. My plan is to sell it before it runs out of the 100,000 mile / 6 year warranty and move on to something from a more reliable brand.

Ok car but not that great

I bought 23 sonata SEL last month. While the car is comfortable and everything is good, the engine does appear to be weak. 191 horsepower, 2.5 liter engine does not seem enough. Maybe N line will feel stronger. Other than that, excellent!

Nice car I just think mine came with some things wrong with it but I know dealership with make it right I got that impression from them when I purchased from them I already let them know and they told me to bring it in I’m sure the things that came wrong with mine was due to manufacturer since It was brand new
