Good value, nice features, questionable build quality.

I really wanted to love this car—and in many ways, I do. The design is beautiful, especially in silver. The wide stance, the rims, the subtle spoiler, the light bar… it all looks premium. The ride is smooth, the seats are comfortable, and the interior feels modern and thoughtfully laid out. The gear selector grew on me fast, and the cabin space is excellent. But the rattles. The rattles are everywhere. All four door panels vibrate and the noise changes depending on how the door was closed. Sometimes I have to hold the door while driving just to stop it. The insulation near the engine bay is loose and adds even more noise at low speeds. Music helps, but only up to a point—turn it above volume 30 and the rattling overwhelms the speakers. It’s disappointing because the car has so much going for it: good low‑speed power, strong brakes, solid AWD, and driver‑assist features that work well. I feel safe in it. I enjoy driving it. But the build‑quality issues are impossible to ignore. This car is a great value, and I wish Hyundai offered a Limited AWD version. Still, the constant rattling makes the ownership experience frustrating, especially for a brand‑new vehicle. I'm not so sure I'd buy another Sontona. Maybe the Kia K5 is the better version.

Wish for more luxury

I would like a seated air vents rather than heated seats. Maybe the seats to go lower. I feel to high. I would like neutral colors on the interior. All grey or black. Red trim is a lot.

Basic car

Coming from a v6 engine. I was expecting better gas mileage, but it’s the same as the larger engine we ithout the power of the larger engine. I wiish I had more time before I made my decision on this car. It’s not a bad car, but it’s just not for me. I like a heavier car with more control on the road. It looks cute.

Shifting problem

Shifting issues that 2 dealers have not been able to address. One dealer tried to tell me it’s because it’s a performance vehicle. My Elantra N never had this problem.

Amazing car

I like the character of the car, its lights and interior. Im a big fan of simplicity being both for interior and exterior including the engine. Its a smooth 8 speed torque convertor with a 2.5L I4 FWD and damn even without a turbo this thing will pull you. Ive yet to have snow on it but for a FWD it should move pretty well. The quality is great, speakers are amazing even for the SEL Sport edition, the seats are strong and comfortable and kinda hard to stain, the sound isolation is good enough, the steering is light and configurable, the screen isnt loud like a big TV in your car, the seamless adaptation to andriod auto is amazing, the cluster is normal and simplistic, the buttons are conveniently placed and the mode buttons are configurable. Tires come from Pirelli, you know theyll be grippy and arent settling for cheap. Hyundai has come a lot way but I love this car.

2026 Sonata N-Line...Great car!!!

This is my first Hyundai ever and coming over from multiple Kia Optima lines (last Kia being a Sorento SX AWD turbo model) since 2011, it has been the best choice Ive ever made!! Car is smooth, has tons of power and I love the contour of the vehicle (although the hood is a bit "flat" and could use something like a scoop or could be raised in the middle to give it more of a "mean" look) is beautiful! The footrest is a bit too far away and should come out more. Im 5'10" and cant even come close to it while driving, unless I move my seat all the way up, which then curls my driving leg way too much to be comfortable. I would say 4.5 stars. Its a bit noisy inside but the digital keys has finally freed me of having to go everywhere with my keys in my pocket! Overall, I LOVE this car!

Great looking and ok build quality

My Sonata N-Line looks great however there is quite a few rattles in the door panels when listening to music, and a decent amount of road noise coming from the drivers side door when going at a faster speed almost like wind is going through it. It’s also currently disappointing that the Sonata doesn’t get themes but a majority of the other vehicles in the line up get it even though they have the exact same operating system and the exact same sonata gets it in other parts of the world.
