She’s still going

When I drove her off the lot. She had 17 miles on the speedometer. She has 260,000+ now. She’s still going. She has had problems over the twenty years, but overall she has been a good truck. I don’t regret making the purchase, and I will never sell her.

So many electrical issues once they start.

Definitely takes effort to keep them on the road. Just like a ford, demanding. This comment section demanding 200 characters. Buy one, you either like it or you dont. They fun to work on once you narrow down the issue. Then another arises.

2001 Ford F-150

My 2001 Ford F-150 is the first Ford I’ve owned. 19 years after my purchase I could not be more satisfied. I added a BakFlip bed cover and now have the carrying capacity of an SUV. The back seat allows 3 additional adults to ride comfortably in the cab.

Reliable and versatile vehicle.

I bought my F150 new, this is my first Ford, 150,000 miles and 18 years later it has met or exceeded all of my needs. At this point I expect it to be the last vehicle I own. If I do purchase another vehicle I fully expect it to be another F150.

My 2001 F150 is my favorite vehicle. It is the most versatile vehicle I have ever owned. I bought it brand new 18 years ago because of the superior engineering design compared to the competition. 18 years later my opinion has not changed.

Love My Truck

I have had very few “significant” issues with my truck since I bought it in late 2000. The most annoying was the fuel pump going bad soon after the warranty expired (at about 40,000 miles or so, I believe). Other than that I’ve done recommended maintenance as needed and my truck still is getting same highway and city mpg as when I bought it. It’s coming up on 250,000 miles now and still looks and runs great.

On my second Ford pick-up. Fifth Ford in all. While my friends who bought other brands 'on sale', they continually have them in the shop. One with a brand new 4X4 was told by his dealer not to go on rough because the air bags will deploy!

Only the best truck on they rd hands down my first truck. Back in 1976 was a 1970 F100 put over 400.000miles pn it sold motor 289 ford for 1200 dollars one year earlyer was headed up mountain on rt 50 west va blew radiator hose drove approx 30 miles to wolf service center Mr wolf came out totake a look we poped hood motor was glowing orange he and his wife wete reading dinner invited me to eat dinner to let cool down we ate came out got hose on pouring water in still boiled out went in ate desert any ways bulit ford tough have had several F150s this one has 288.000 now will be keeping it for few more years GOD Bless Ford

used 2001 f150

found my 150 on craigs list little over a year ago. dmv had pulled license from former owner due to health reasons. had 95k miles on it, looked new. lariat model 2wd, v8, crew cab, special paint. had always been garaged, no problems except alternator/regulator failure after i had it for a year. mileage around town/ highway average combined 15, highway only 17 at 60-65. second car so not a work truck. first ford product other than old (58-59-60 tbirds with a lucky 10mpg when gas was 29.9 cents a gallon and tolerable) and it has been trouble free other than electrical problem. comfortable but a bit of wind noise makes radio pretty much useless at speed but about same as chevy pickups i had always had before. bought this one strictly on price and condition. like front seat arm rest that folds so seat become a full width bench seat and back seat folds down and can accomodate a wheel chair. 88 years old so too old to invest 30k or more in new one. tight, no squeaks or rattles

Ford 150 Crew

Good running truck! Always repaired when problems were minor! I drove trucks alot newer, besides the electronics in newer vehicles, the ride is just as good! Do maintenance on regular schedule and get the most out of your ride.

2001 Ford F-150 2X4

I bought my truck in 2001. At the time I had three thousand miles on it and I paid $19,500. It has absolutely been one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. I have never had any major drivetrain issues with it and I make sure that I change the oil every 5000 miles and have my auto shop that does the service check for any other possible problems that need to be fixed. It has been a stellar performer and I hope to put another hundred fifty thousand miles on it. Even at this point there is never a drop of oil or any other lubricant on my driveway.

Great dependable

Great smooth ride. Abundant head room for even for a big person like myself. Has great lines inside and out. Runs smooth and dependable. Has some rattles but is to be expected with 278K miles. Gonna drive it until it quits.

Awesome Vehicle

I have only driven Ford vehicles and love them. I had to get a new vehicle and saw this truck and fell in love with it. The previous owner took great care of it so I was very lucky. It is a great running Truck and I love having the tanneua cover on it, it's a great accessory to have.

Still going strong

After 17 years and almost 173,000 miles my old F150 Supercrew Lariat 4x4 is still going strong. My only complaint is about the leather tearing up on both my front and rear seats, which has never happened to me before on my other brand of vehicle.

F-350 Ford

Love our truck we bought it used it was less than 2 years old and it’s a 2001 we have never done anything but maintenance and tires. The only drawback is we wish it was a four door rather than an extended cab.

2001 F150 Supercab

Spacious interior. Lots of power for SOHC 5.4 engine code L. Truck drives comfortably and hauls comfortably. Raced a 2010 Tundra and kept with him until 3rd. Impressive power. Love suicide doors. Rear bench seat fits 3 perfectly.

My 2001 F-150!!

I can not believe what this vehicle has done?! I am the original owner. It had 3 miles on it when I drove it off the lot @ Vancouver Ford in February of 2001. It has exceeded my expectations at every level!! It has never left me stranded, although I have not treated it the best I could have. If I ever purchase another new truck? It will be a Ford Truck!!!

It's a great truck! Performs as well as newer models. But it takes regular maintenance and little TLC. Guess you pay for your repairs or the high monthly payment! No free pass!
