Awesome Little Car!

223K miles and still engine is running like new. Just regular recommended maintenance and she keeps on running. I have a 5-speed manual and it has only dipped slightly in MPG after all the miles. Great vehicle all around. Having the HB version is great - it hauls more than you think. Front wheel bearing is a known issue but any easy fix - just monitor it and you will be fine.

13 years and counting

I’ve had my accent for 13 years with little to no problems. Few minor hiccups that comes with age, but nothing that is hurting my pockets. Very reliable car for simple driving. No bells and whistles just a safe and reliable vehicle. Looking to purchase another accent if not definitely another Hyundai vehicle.

2009 Hyundai Accent

My 2009 Hyundai Accent has been way better than expected; it has 155,000 miles on it. It still has the original battery (12.5 years), original clutch, original brakes (7m left on the pads which shows we drive a lot of highway miles and are pretty easy on it). We average 36 miles a gallon over the life of the vehicle...90% = 65 mph. Other than normal maintenance, the only extra thing done was that we replaced some type of $10 part on the front right wheel/steering.

I owned a 2003 Hyundai Electra,prior to the2009Accent, with 200,000 miles on it, Very Happy with Hyundai, and overall maintenance and upkeep of them inside and out. I would Recommend A Hyundai, any Model to Anyone who wants a Dependable Car.

Great car.

I love my Accent. Driving my car is absolutely wonderful. It has great maneuverability, plenty of power, has good ground clearance for dirt roads, and the seats are comfortable. My only wish would be to have less road noise in the passenger compartment.

Covers my needs.

I am unusual in that I don't need or want power this and that, on my vehicle. The basic model of Accent, that I have, does fine. Steering and handling are good. Power that the engine puts out, is good. 5 speed manual shifts easy. Reverse lockout takes some getting used to. Good, basic transportation.

Bought it new after long time researching other similar cars. Thought is was going to be of good quality; I was not disapointed. The car has performed flawlessly for many years with minor, regular check ups. I bought another Hyundai car, recently, due my good experience with this 2009 car.

Cheap reliability

Cash for clunkers purchase no major repair, electrical coil went out at 69,000 miles had domestic spark plugs in it. so they were previously changed during recall service. Now I know why breaklight recall took 1hr and a half. Didn't come with OEM spark plugs. But its running.

Good car, fun to drive, economical.

I like this car, bought it used after my 2004 got crushed. It's a little taller and has more room in the passenger compartment so better for taller people. The down side is the room got taken up by making the trunk space smaller. I'm short so between the 2 I liked the 20004 better. Lower center of gravity so handled turns better and I need more room in the trunk then in the passenger compartment, but that's just me.

Well rounded vehicle

I have driven this car for a while and have seen ups and downs pros and cons. I would say for someone who had no car experience I've had my share of problems and achievments in repairing this vehicle myself! I love this car and couldn't think of a more flexible company to work with when having car trouble.

Great Utility

I've had my Accent for over 8 years, and it has served me very well over the years. I plan to continue to use the vehicle for three more years, until I retirew. The vehicle served me perfectly over the years. Nothing fancy, it just works.

Great car, for me.

Economical no frills vehicle. That's the way I like it. I'm 79, live alone on an island, and drive about 2,000 miles a year. I don't need more. This is not the car for anyone who needs their vehicle as an ego booster; although, I happen to think that the Accent is a good looking car. Two minor complaints: The top half of the instrument panel is obscured by the steering wheel if you are tall,as I am, so it's difficult to see everything that's going on there unless I scrunch down. Maybe that's been corrected in newer models. Also the driver's door can be locked inadvertently when getting out of the car because the locking device and the handle are too close together. When you open the door you sometimes push the locking device without meaning to because of that proximity.

Good Car

My 2009 Hyundai Accent has been a reliable mode of transportation for me with few problems. The gas mileage is good, and the engine's performance has been great. I'm at 98,000 plus miles and have had very little warranty work done.
